Previews begin tonight (Wednesday, October 25) for the New York Premiere of Uncommon Sense, a new play inspired by true stories of people living on the autism spectrum, written by Anushka Paris-Carter and Andy Paris, and directed by Andy Paris.

Dixon Place (Ellie Covan, Founding & Artistic Director) presents the co-production of world-famous beatboxer and Drama Desk Award recipient Chesney Snow's THE UNWRITTEN LAW opening Sunday, July 30th. As part of its eighth season, Unexpected Stage Company presents Carly Mensch's Oblivion, a comedy which challenges assumptions about parenting, religion, and the nature of spirituality. Dixon Place's  (Ellie Covan, Founding & Artistic Director) commission of the acclaimed performance collective Sister Sylvester's MAPS FOR A WAR TOURIST, will have its world premiere on Friday, June 2nd at 7:30 PM. 

Annenberg Center Live closes its season May 18-20 with its annual Philadelphia Children's Festival, featuring artists from around the country and Philadelphia to showcase professional dance, music, theatre, circus and more for children of all ages. This year, the festival partners with local arts organizations both on stage and for interactive activities in the free, outdoor PlazaMania, which also includes face painting and balloon animals. Tickets cost $5-$14 and there is a three-show $30 Festival Pass available on Saturday only. All tickets include access to PlazaMania. After being presented by John Schaefer and WNYC's New Sounds Live at the Merkin Concert Hall, and then traveling the world, the iconoclastic post-modern musical oratorio, "A Night at the Old Marketplace," returns to New York for the premiere of an enhanced full-length version fusing music, projections and storytelling.
