Dixon Place presents the world premiere of acclaimed downtown theater artist Soomi Kim's MLCG (MY LITTLE CHINA GIRL).

Dixon Place (Ellie Covan, Founding & Artistic Director) presents the co-production of world-famous beatboxer and Drama Desk Award recipient Chesney Snow's THE UNWRITTEN LAW opening Sunday, July 30th. Snow comes direct from his run in Broadway's In Transit, where Ben Brantley of the NY Times called him "a one-man sound effects wiz."

Annenberg Center Live closes its season May 18-20 with its annual Philadelphia Children's Festival, featuring artists from around the country and Philadelphia to showcase professional dance, music, theatre, circus and more for children of all ages. This year, the festival partners with local arts organizations both on stage and for interactive activities in the free, outdoor PlazaMania, which also includes face painting and balloon animals. Tickets cost $5-$14 and there is a three-show $30 Festival Pass available on Saturday only. All tickets include access to PlazaMania. Next Iteration Theater Company (NITC) presents its 2nd Annual Intercultural Play Reading Series featuring three plays over three nights at the MATCH.

After being presented by John Schaefer and WNYC's New Sounds Live at the Merkin Concert Hall, and then traveling the world, the iconoclastic post-modern musical oratorio, "A Night at the Old Marketplace," returns to New York for the premiere of an enhanced full-length version fusing music, projections and storytelling. 

Strange reports of magicians losing their powers make their way to the royal magistrate.  When two tricksters arrive with their fake magic show, the royal magistrate believes they have found the root of the problem.  Facing arrest, the two escape to a mystical forest where they discover the true cause of why magic is disappearing. Having to choose between risking the wrath of the royal court or taking their discovery to their graves, the tricksters must decide whether saving a kingdom is more important than saving themselves.

2016 Bessie Award-winning choreographer Joya Powell brings her Movement of the People Dance company to the premiere International Human Rights Art Festival, New York City's first arts-advocacy festival of its kind.

Dixon Place's production of Angelica Page's Turning Page, about the life and career of her legendary mother Geraldine Page, is making its New York debut in a limited run through April 8th, and opens tonight, February 24th, at Dixon Place (161A Chrystie Street).

Next Iteration Theater Company (NITC) presents a workshop production of Turquoise, three plays in one, by Obie Award winning playwright, Deb Margolin. With themes of memory, love, symbiosis, and mortality, this award-winning playwright has woven a story that reflects on the simultaneity of everything while capturing the hearts and minds of the audience with simplicity and hilarious, quick-volleying dialogue.  Turquoise is a theatrical hybrid of literary proportions not to be missed.

Dixon Place's new theatrical commission of On The Rocks Theatre Company's sci-fi comedy with music FRED, will have its world premiere on Friday, March 17th at 7:30 PM. The production is written by On The Rocks co-founders Christopher Ford & Dakota Rose. Ms. Rose helms the production as director.
