Tammy returns to La MaMa tonight, November 6 to 23 with 'What Tammy Needs to Know about Getting Old and Having Sex,' a new performance created with elderly women in Zagreb, Croatia and NYC that illuminates the taboo subject of desire, pleasure and intimacy in old people. This show is the project for which she was awarded a 2014 Guggenheim Fellowship.
SAN FRANCISCO, CA - OCTOBER 28, 2014 --Taking on Selfie Culture, Jess Curtis/Gravity will once again challenge and expand conceptions of performance and social context with a new production that combines performing bodies, online social networking, and video projection in an examination of the effects of the intertwining of digital and embodied experience. A dance of process, community, memory, and resistance, The Dance That Documents Itself uses social networking and digital media to examine the effects of those very technologies (and the socio-economic conditions they spawn in communities) on dancing bodies, and to expose the threads of human interaction that come together to become a live dance performance. The Dance That Documents Itself features 4 dancers and incorporates live-feed and recorded video with live and recorded music to dynamically explore how technologies affect our lives, dancing bodies, the creative process, and the communities that we live in. The William & Eva Fox Foundation and Theatre Communications Group (TCG), the national organization for theatre, have announced the ninth round of Fox Foundation Resident Actor Fellowships recipients. The program is designed to support actors' professional and artistic development, to enrich relationships between actors and nonprofit theatres and to ensure continued professional commitment to live theatre. Funded by the Fox Foundation and administered by TCG, the fellowship is one of only a few programs of its kind for actors in the country.

New Ohio Theatre Artistic Director Robert Lyons in association with Purpleman Theater have announced casting for Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Paula Vogel's And Baby Makes Seven. Marc Stuart Weitz will direct ensemble including Ken Barnett (Wonderful Town, Julie Taymor's The Green Bird) as Peter, Susan Bott (Julie Kramer's The Best of Everything) as Ruth and Constance Zaytoun (Moby Pomerance's Broken Hands) as Anna. And Baby Makes Seven is an uproarious and timely comedy that has not been seen professionally in New York in 20 years. Performances will take place today, March 11-April 12 at the New Ohio Theatre (154 Christopher Street, between Washington and Greenwich Streets). Critics are welcome as of March 19 for an opening of March 23.

The first group was presented in October 2013 and the second group will take place todays in March 2014. All readings will begin at 7:30pm in the Chase Room of the Madison Public Library on 39 Keep Street in Madison, NJ. Readings are free with a suggested donation of $10. All tickets will be available at the door on the evening of the readings.
