Following its successful run at The Public Theater, BLOODY BLOODY ANDREW JACKSON will now begin performances on Broadway at the Bernard Jacobs Theatre (242 W. 45th Street) on Monday, September 20, 2010 and officially open on Wednesday, October 13, 2010.
The Public Theater, Jeffrey Richards and Jerry Frankel, producers of BLOODY BLOODY ANDREW JACKSON are pleased to announce that Tony Award winning producer Norton Herrick as well as Universal Pictures Stage Productions have joined the producing team of the show. BLOODY BLOODY ANDREW JACKSON is playing at the Bernard B. Jacobs Theatre (242 W. 45th Street) and officially opens on Wednesday, October 13, 2010.
To kickoff the first week of performances of BLOODY BLOODY ANDREW JACKSON and fittingly, the coming election season, producers of the show announce a partnership with ROCK THE VOTE organization in hopes to reach out and remind people to register to vote, especially as the midterm elections approach. As part of this partnership, on Friday, September 24th, volunteers from ROCK THE VOTE will be at the theatre at the beginning and at the end of the show with voter registration sign up sheets. There will be additional show days as well when volunteers will be there.

The cast of the new Off-Broadway hit, BLOOD BLOODY ANDREW JACKSON now playing at The Public, gathered on April 26 to record their cast album, which will be produced by Kurt Deutsch and Dean Sharenow on the Sh-K-Boom/Ghostlight Records label. A release date for the album will be announced shortly.
On Wednesday, March 3 at 7 p.m., Irish chanteuse Susan McKeown and Klezmatics vocalist and accordionist Lorin Sklamberg will perform in Saints & Tzadiks, a unique concert that weaves musical tales from the Yiddish and Gaelic traditions. They will be joined by guitarists Erik Della Penna and Eamon O'Leary.
