The Public Theater presents the world premiere of Bridget Everett's ROCK BOTTOM at Joe's Pub, kickin goff the 2014-15 downtown season at Astor Place. Created by Bridget Everett, Marc Shaiman, Scott Wittman, Adam 'Ad-Rock' Horovitz, and Matt Ray, and directed by Scott Wittman, ROCK BOTTOM was originally commissioned as part of the Joe's Pub 2013 New York Voices series. The 78 Project is honored and thrilled to announce that their feature length documentary film, The 78 Project Movie, will have its New York City premiere on August 5th at the Film Society of Lincoln Center's Walter Reade Theater as part of its Sound + Vision series.

Warner Classics has signed the UK-based Aurora Orchestra for a three-album recording contract. The first album, due out in Autumn 2014, will be the American-themed Road Trip and will feature the music of John Adams, Charles Ives and Aaron Copland, as well as three newly-commissioned song arrangements by composer Nico Muhly – two traditional songs along with Paul Simon's Hearts and Bones.

Three European choreographers present three very different works as part of the New York City Ballet's American Music Festival.

Motherlodge Live Arts Exchange returns to Joe's Pub at The Public for a special one-night-only fundraiser for the organization curated by Michael Arthur (Balthrop, Alabama, Joe's Pub and La Jolla Playhouse's archival artist) and Motherlodge founder Ray Rizzo (drummer with Dawn Landes, Corporal and others). Motherlodge is a touring, presenting organization that creates space, or "lodges" in different cities where artists from different geographic locations can share what they do and work together to create new interdisciplinary artworks. Motherlodge's 'A Fleetwood Mac Orgy' at Joe's Pub promises to be a cosmos-shattering night of Broadway and downtown performers colliding with rockers from Brooklyn and Kentucky. The fundraiser will help pay for promotion, production costs, gas and lodging for artists who will join for the Motherlodge in Louisville at the end of March. Justin Vivian Bond Will Perform Material from the Album in Six-Week Residency at New Studio 54 Cabaret Venue, 54 Below.

On June 5, Bond will release an album joined by pianist and producer Thomas Bartlett (Doveman), and covering songs by Ronee Blakley, Kate Bush, Leonard Cohen, Tracy Chapman, Joni Mitchell, Mark Eitzel and Brecht & Weill, among others. Bond will perform material from the album in a six-week residency (June 4-July 9) at the new Studio 54 cabaret venue, 54 Below.
