The Warner Bros. Harry Potter spinoff FANTASTIC BEASTS AND WHERE TO FIND THEM has found a new star in Alison Sudol. Variety writes that the singer-songwriter will make her feature film debut in the movie, opposite previously announced Eddie Redmayne. Not only that, but Broadway's Josh Gad is in talks for another supporting role.

According to Variety, David Yates, who helmed a number of the HARRY POTTER films, is finalizing a deal to take on the series' upcoming spin-off, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, based on J.K. Rowling's 2001 novel. The film has received a November 18, 2016 release from Warner Bros. The big screen adaptation is being planned as a trilogy.
