Brevard Music Center Sets Stage For Summer Performances

The renowned BMC Summer Music Festival returns for a spectacular and diverse 83rd season from June - August Brevard, NC The Brevard Music Center (BMC) is mere weeks away from launching its 2019 summer festival season in the Blue Ridge Mountains of western North Carolina. Each summer from June through August, 40,000 music-lovers celebrate Brevard Music Center's mission by attending its acclaimed summer music festival and supporting 500 gifted young musicians who are redefining the future of classical music alongside an esteemed artist faculty from major orchestras and universities.

Oleta Adams And David Benoit to Appear at One Night Only Benefit Concert

The Asia America Symphony Association (AASA) presents a Benefit Concert for youth in arts featuring internationally acclaimed vocalist, Oleta Adams on Saturday, June 29, 2019. Oleta will be joined by Music Director, Pianist and Conductor, David Benoit, and members of the Asia America Youth Symphony Orchestra (AAYS).

Numerous Jazz Musicians To Perform On 2020 Blue Note At Sea Cruise

For the 4th consecutive season, Blue Note Jazz Clubs and Blue Note Records are collaborating with Entertainment Cruise Productions to bring many of the world's most renowned contemporary jazz musicians together for Blue Note at Sea 2020, a weeklong luxury cruise that sails through the Caribbean from January 25 through February 1, 2020.

The Empress Theatre Presents Kevin Frazier And Friends, March 27

Kevin is currently the General Manager of the Empress Theatre in Vallejo and a very accomplished saxophone player and vocalist. He has had the pleasure of sitting in with many popular bay area musicians that perform at the theatre and also plays with the Jazz Explosion who will be his back-up band for this show. He has invited a number of popular bay area artists to sit in, so this is going to be a fun night of music for sure.

1969 Woodstock Festival Alum David Sanborn Returns 50 Years Later

The intimate, indoor Event Gallery at Bethel Woods Center for the Arts will host 1969 Woodstock festival alumnus (who performed with Paul Butterfield as part of the Butterfield Blues Band) and Grammy-award winner David Sanborn on November 7th at 8:00 p.m. Reserved seating tickets will go on-sale to the general public on Friday, February 22nd at 10:00 a.m. at www.BethelWoodsCenter.org

Meany Center's Creative Fellowships Initiative Announces Full Roster

The University of Washington has announced the complete roster of artists who have been selected as Creative Research Fellows as part of its first three-year Creative Fellowships Initiative. Funded by a $750,000 grant from the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation, the interdisciplinary initiative will advance the field of performing arts by supporting artists in the development of new works and by integrating the performing arts disciplines into a broader context academically, artistically, and socially.

Rob Mathes To Perform 3 Holiday Concerts This Weekend To Sold-Out Audiences

The holidays are Rob Mathes' favorite time of year - they are the time that Mathes returns home to the Greenwich, Connecticut, area and performs his annual Holiday Concert. This year's concerts are December 14 and 15 at the Performing Arts Center at Purchase College, and December 16 at the Schimmel Center in New York City. All three concerts are sold out and will feature Rob Mathes, his all-star band, his choir of 'Saints and Friends' and special guests Sting, Vanessa Williams and David Sanborn who will join Rob for a few holiday-themed songs at the Performing Arts Center. Sting and Vanessa Williams will also join Mathes at the Schimmel Center on Sunday for a few songs.

Rob Mathes Holiday Concert Welcomes Sting

Emmy winner and Grammy, Tony, and Drama Desk-nominated arranger and composer, music producer/director, and singer/songwriter Rob Mathes returns to the Performing Arts Center, Purchase College, on Friday, December 14, and Saturday, December 15, at 8:00 p.m., for the annual Rob Mathes Holiday Concert. Rob is celebrating 25 years of performing his annual holiday concert and is honored to be joined this year by special guests Sting, Vanessa Williams and saxophonist David Sanborn, who will each perform a couple holiday-themed songs with Rob and the band.
