RAMAYANA, THE SEAGULL and More Highlight ACT's 2012-2013 Fall/Winter Calendar

ACT - A Contemporary Theatre has announced its Fall and Winter calendar, including its biggest party of the year: Wanderlust - ACT's Night of Adventure and Annual Gala just in time to kick off the autumnal season. The rest of the calendar rounds out the year with a plethora of exciting new theatrical events including Central Heating Lab projects, the season's finale production of Ramayana, and ACT's holiday tradition of A Christmas Carol.

Northern Ballet Performs MADAME BUTTERFLY in Sheffield, Now thru Sept 22

Northern Ballet's Madame Butterfly dances into the Lyceum Theatre from tonight, 18 - 22 September 2012. Madame Butterfly is directed and choreographed by the Company's Artistic Director, David Nixon OBE, who originally created the piece on his wife, Yoko Ichino, the internationally renowned ballerina, who is now Ballet Mistress and Academy Associate Director at Northern Ballet. The Northern Ballet version of the production premiered at Leeds Grand Theatre in 2002.

Global Dance Stars Gala Lineup Announced

The cast of internationally-acclaimed dance stars appearing in BalletMet's Global Dance Stars Gala is now complete. Artists from Boston Ballet, Houston Ballet, National Ballet of Canada, New York City Ballet, Northern Ballet of England, Tom Gold Dance and Broadway will join the talented dancers of BalletMet for this one-night-only event August 18th at the Ohio Theatre (39 East State Street).
