Lumberyard Announces $5 Million Loan from Social Financier

Lumberyard Contemporary Performing Arts in New York City and RSF Social Finance have closed on a $5 million loan to construct a state-of-the-art facility near the Hudson River waterfront in Catskill, New York. The financing represents a meaningful step forward in Lumberyard's efforts to economically and culturally revitalize the region where its new campus will open in the spring of 2019. The location will also serve artists by providing them with technical support and residencies before a national or New York premiere.

Bebe Neuwirth to Host 2017 Chita Rivera Awards at The Al Hirschfeld Theatre

Bebe Neuwirth (two-time Tony and Emmy award winner; Chicago, A Chorus Line, Sweet Charity,'Cheers,' 'Frasier') will host the Chita Rivera Awards, taking place at The Al Hirschfeld Theatre (302 W. 45th Street) on Monday, September 11 at 7:30 pm, it was announced today by Nikki Feirt Atkins, founder and producing artistic director of American Dance Machine of the 21st Century.

Experimental theatre artist Amy Rox Surratt, and a supporting ensemble, create fictionally famous reality TV child star 'Amy Surratt.' At home, things have been heading South for a while. Now, 'Amy' investigates her genuine Appalachian roots and struggles to come back to something she never really had - taking the audience to hell in a hand basket with her. The result is a surreal Appalachian love letter to historical and personal traumas.
