The Thousand Oaks Civic Arts Plaza Foundation presents the third installment of THE LAUGH PACK in the Scherr Forum Theatre at 8:30 pm on Friday, February 15, 2013.

The Rubin Museum will explore illusion and human perception in this year's edition of the popular Brainwave series of on-stage conversations between mind scientists and thinkers from diverse walks of life. Opening on February 6, the series will include 20 on-stage conversations, 50 film screenings, and an interactive experience in which the museum will become a Memory Palace. While illusion is usually associated with vision, the series will engage audiences through all five senses to provide a comprehensive understanding of the subject.

Note that Monday and Tuesday telecasts were preempted or excluded from the weekly averages due to the New Year's holiday and that CBS's 'Late Late Show' and ABC's 'Jimmy Kimmel Live' were encores last week.

On Wednesday, January 9, 2013, ABC's JIMMY KIMMEL LIVE surged over its Tuesday time slot debut by 22% in Adults 18-49 (1.083 million vs. 887,000). In addition, 'JKL' retained nearly all of its overall audience from the prior day (92% - 2.859 million vs. 3.097 million).

From 8-8:30 p.m. ET, 'Whitney' (1.4/4 in 18-49, 4.2 million viewers overall) matched its second-highest 18-49 rating so far this season.

Comix At Foxwoods has announced that Academy Award winner, Steven Wright, will grace the stage for one show only when he visits the Fox Theater at Foxwoods on Saturday, April 20 at 8 p.m. Tickets for this highly-anticipated show will be available for presale through Comix and Ticketmaster on Thursday, Jan. 17 at 10 a.m., and regular tickets will go on sale Friday, Jan. 18 at 10 a.m. Fans can purchase tickets in advance for $30, $40 and $55.

One of the most established names in Hollywood and Las Vegas - internationally renowned comedian, actor and entertainer Don Rickles - has signed for a sixth consecutive year at The Orleans Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas. Rickles will make two weekend appearances at The Orleans in 2013: April 13-14 and September 28-29.

The past year has taken the Steep Canyon Rangers to new heights. In March 2011, the band released its first collaborative record with Steve Martin, "Rare Bird Alert" which debuted at #1 on Billboard's Bluegrass Chart and at #43 on the Billboard Top 200. At 8 p.m., 'Betty White's Off Their Rockers' averaged a 1.5/4 in 18-49 and 5.7 million viewers overall, matching the show's highest rating for an 8 p.m. telecast since Wednesday, April 25, 2012.

The 2013 North Carolina Comedy Arts Festival is kicking off its 13th year with a loaded line-up of local and national rising comics. The festival officially kicks off Wednesday, Jan 30 at MotorCo.in Durham with an 8 p.m. show featuring a line-up of local comics. Then the festival moves to multiple performances at DSI Comedy Theater and Local 506 in Chapel Hill through Sunday.
