Celebration Theatre to Present AT THE FLASH LA Premiere, 5/15-26

Celebration Theatre has announced an added show to its celebratory 30th Anniversary Season, the Los Angeles premiere of a new play, AT THE FLASH, written by Sean Chandler, performed by David Leeper and directed by David Zak. AT THE FLASH will begin previews on Wednesday, May 15th and will open on Friday, May 17th and will perform through Sunday, May 26th at Celebration Theatre, 7051B Santa Monica Blvd in Hollywood.

Discovery debuts new episodes of television's definitive car restoration series OVERHAULIN'. The series brings viewers into the world of the iconic Foose Designs where Chip Foose and his dream team transform vehicles into the most amazing and imaginative automotives on television. OVERHAULIN' premieres tonight, April 15 at 9PM ET/PT.

David Lee Tucker Releases STONE WALL FREEDOM

A masterful conclusion to the 'Stone Wall Freedom' trilogy, "Stone Wall Freedom-The Slave" provides a never-before-seen glimpse into the early history of Rhode Island's Block Island, the community with the highest number of slaves per capita in the Northeast in 1786. The book will be available for purchase wherever books are sold April 1. A book signing for "Stone Wall Freedom - The Slave" will be 2-4 p.m., April 20 at Bank Square Books in Mystic, CT.

BWW Reviews: THE TROUBLE WITH WORDS Continues to Astound Audiences at the Lost Studio Through April 12

THE TROUBLE WITH WORDS is a song cycle that explores the relationship people have with words, as well as with each other, as they struggle to connect. In examining how human beings are brought together and pulled apart by words, the songs range from devastating to laugh-out-loud funny. I strongly encourage every musical theatre aficionado in Los Angeles to see this show as I cannot offer enough praise for the entire production.

CAN-CAN Revival in the Works?

According to an Equity casting notice for next month, the Cole Porter classic CAN-CAN will have a staged reading in New York in July 2013, with the official dates to be announced, before it aims for Broadway in Spring 2014.

Hamish Linklater's THE VANDAL Will Be Filmed for Broadcast

The Flea has announced that Thirteen WNET will be filming the critically acclaimed production of THE VANDAL on March 29. A broadcast date has not been slated. Written by actor Hamish Linklater (School for Lies, Twelfth Night, Recent Tragic Events & The Busy World is Hushed, and TV's The New Adventures of Old Christine), The Vandal runs through March 31. It is directed by Flea Artistic Director Jim Simpson starring Zach Grenier, Deidre O'Connell, and Noah Robbins.

Due to popular demand, The Flea Theater has announced that Hamish Linklater's playwriting debut THE VANDAL will return for a limited 2 weekend run beginning March 22. WaterTower Theatre Announces the Artists and Schedule for the 2013 Out of the Loop Fringe Festival

WaterTower Theatre Producing Artistic Director Terry Martin today announced the line-up for the 2013 Out of the Loop Fringe Festival, March 7-17, 2013 at the Addison Theatre and Conference Centre. Several changes highlight this year's Festival including a focus on Dallas-area artists, more performances of each show, many new artists, as well as a few returning favorites. The Festival will include, for the first time, opera, as well as dance, theatre, cabaret artists and visual arts, and a play produced by WaterTower Theatre.

THE VOICE's Tate Stevens to Release Debut Album on April 23

FOX's The X Factor Season 2 winner and Syco Music/RCA Nashville recording artist Tate Stevens announces today that his debut album is set to release on Tuesday, April 23. The self-titled album is helmed by renowned Nashville producer, Blake Chancey and will include three songs that Stevens co-wrote alongside Ashley Gorley, Joe Diffie, Wade Kirby, Phil O'Donnell, Shane Minor, and David Lee Murphy.

WaterTower Theatre Postpones MANICURES & MONUMENTS at Out of the Loop Fringe

WaterTower Theatre Producing Artistic Director Terry Martin today announced that the staged reading of Vicki Cheatwood's Manicures & Monuments originally scheduled to be part of 2013 Out of the Loop Fringe Festival, March 7-17, 2013 at the Addison Theatre and Conference Centre will be postponed and performed at a later date to be announced. Changes in the playwright's schedule required the reading to be produced later in the spring. The reading was scheduled to be performed in the Stone Cottage on March 12 at 7:30 pm. WaterTower Theatre will announce the new date soon.
