Casting has been announced for the Fifth Annual New York One-Minute Play Festival, hosted by Primary Stages at 59E59 Theaters. The New York One-Minute Play Festival will take place Sunday, October 16 at 2:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. at Primary Stages at 59E59 Theaters (59 East 59th Street), the Off-Broadway home of Primary Stages. Seating is extremely limited.

Five-time Tony Award®-winning producer, Jon B. Platt (Wicked, The Book of Mormon), has announced the first ever North American tour of Gazillion Bubble Show, starring its creator and international sensation Fan Yang.

VENUS IN FUR will begin previews on Thursday, October 13 and open Tuesday, November 8 at MTC's Samuel J. Friedman Theatre (261 West 47th Street). Classic Stage Company (CSC), under the leadership of Artistic Director Brian Kulick and Executive Director Jessica R. Jenen, will present Anton Chekhov's tragicomic masterpiece THE CHERRY ORCHARD, featuring John Turturro (Lopakhin), Dianne Wiest (Ranevskaya), Christian Camargo (Trofimov), Ken Cheeseman (Pischick), Daniel Davis (Gaev), Alvin Epstein (Fiers), Slate Holmgren (Yasha), Roberta Maxwell (Charlotta), Juliet Rylance (Varya), Michael Urie (Yepikhodov), Elisabeth Waterston (Dunyasha) and Katherine Waterston (Anya), beginning performances Wednesday, November 16 at CSC (136 East 13th Street). Directed by Andrei Belgrader, with a translation by John Christopher Jones, THE CHERRY ORCHARD will play a limited engagement through Friday, December 23. The official press opening is scheduled for Sunday, December 4 at 7pm.

Lantern Theater Company opens its 2011/12 season with the Philadelphia premiere of David Ives' award-winning New Jerusalem, The Interrogation of Baruch de Spinoza at Talmud Torah Congregation: Amsterdam, July 27, 1656. Based on true events in the life of one of the greatest philosophers in history, Baruch de Spinoza, this recent off-Broadway hit challenges traditional political and religious thinking with conviction, passion, and wit.

Classic Stage Company announced today a search for a new Executive Director, following the announcement of the forthcoming departure of Jessica R. Jenen, who will leave the company to return to the commercial theater world.

The Adaptations Project will present their inaugural production, Kaddish (or The Key in the Window), based on the poem by Allen Ginsberg.
