Queer gun control activists Gays Against Guns are producing a fundraiser with downtown burlesque, comedy, and musical performers at NYC's legendary Slipper Room on June 7, 2017, 8-9:30 PM to finance current and future actions and campaigns against the gun lobby, including GAG's work on Federal Concealed Carry Reciprocity and Gun Violence as a Public Health Crisis.

Mark Cortale, Producing Artistic Director of Provincetown's famed Art House theater, has announced four more additions to his largest music and comedy lineup yet.

For the seventh season since taking the reigns at Provincetown's Art House, Producing Artistic Director Mark Cortale has announced his largest music and comedy lineup yet. Topping the bill again will be the internationally successful 'Broadway @' series, which dynamic duo Cortale and creative partner Seth Rudetsky began in Ptown in 2011 and now makes its home in more than 15 major venues worldwide.

The acclaimed comedy trio Unitard is made up of the combined talents of Mike Albo (former New York Times columnist and author of The Underminer as well as established solo performer), Nora Burns (of the comedy group The Nellie Olesons), and David Ilku (member of the Dueling Bankheads)

Good thing Joe's Pub has got a ton of it going on in the next couple of weeks. This weekend - Cathy Cervenka and Corn Mo host their annual Valentine's Day duet bonanza - Love Bites - on the 12th. Afterward, Xavier is back with his Ladies of Soul tribute, featuring Martha Redbone, Bright Light Bright Light, Anastacia McCleskey (of Waitress The Musical on Broadway), Toshi Reagon, Justin Johnston and Abena Koomson!

At Pangea we celebrate the edge, the cutting edge. And right on the cusp of February are the extraordinary Rachelle Garniez finishing up a run, and Kim David Smith launching another.  Add to that Jeremy Lawrence, Salty Brine, Carol Lipnik and another season of Kevin Malony's "Happy Cry Pretty," and it all starts to make sense: Downtown's supper-club Pangea, which Stephen Holden recently called "a bohemian oasis not unlike the fabled Max's Kansas City from days gone by," plays home to some of the best in alt cabaret.

Mark Cortale, Producing Artistic Director of The Art House in Provincetown, MA, has announced that 6-time Tony winner Audra McDonald will return to Provincetown on August 21 for one show only, joined by husband and fellow-Broadway star Will Swenson.  Matthew Morrison star of "Glee" and "Finding Neverland" is also slated to join pianist & host Seth Rudetsky for the Broadway @ Town Hall series on August 7th.  The Art House's hotly anticipated 2016 summer season will also include artists like Vanessa Williams, Kristin Chenoweth, Patti LuPone, Cheyenne Jackson, the Indigo Girls, Megan Hilty, Judy Kuhn, Gavin Creel and Steve Grand, among others. This summer, the venue's marquee Broadway concert series will again encompass performances at both The Art House as well as Provincetown's Town Hall. Cardinal Theatricals presents the Off Broadway premiere of Mrs. Smith's Broadway Cat-tacular!, an all-singing, all-dancing 'demented cabaret on acid,' created and performed by New York based writer/actor and performance artist David Hanbury. Joining Mrs. Smith onstage will be her two 'Broadway Boys' Brandon Haagenson and Ken Lear. Directed by Andrew Rasmussen, performances began on July 10th at the 47th Street Theatre (304 West 47th Street - between 8th & 9th Avenue).
