On Stage at Kingsborough announces its presentation of James Sewell Ballet's LE DANCE OFF at The Leon M. Goldstein Performing Arts Center on the campus of Kingsborough Community College on Saturday, December 3, 2011 at 8 p.m.

The Asolo Repertory Theatre will be holding a costume sale on Friday, September 30 and Saturday, October 1 at the Asolo Rep Scenic Studios on Tallevast Road, Sarasota. The sale will be from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. both days, just in time for finding the perfect Halloween costume.

Theatre in the Square's Theatre for Youth production for the 2010-11 season, How I Became a Pirate, by Alyn Cardarelli and Steve Goers, is based on the award-winning, best selling children's book by the same title written by Melinda Young and illustrated by David Shannon. Final performances for American Ballet Theatre's New York Summer Intensive Program are scheduled for Friday, July 30, 2010 at 12 P.M. and 4 P.M. at Frank Sinatra School of the Arts. The performances mark the conclusion of ABT's 15th annual New York Summer Intensive, a six-week training program for dancers ages 12 to 22.

I started to play the guitar when I was 12. When I finally decided to try to be an actor for a living.... Musical theatre was something I gravitated to because it combined two of my favorite things...music and dance belts (or girls...or girls in dance belts). When I was in high school I sang in a rock band (we were totally sensitive) and I love that feeling of getting out there with a band creating a cacophony of different sounds. So, when they asked me to write a blerg (the Tina Fey pronunciation), I decided to write mine about the band.
