Two River Theater, under the leadership of Artistic Director John Dias and Managing Director Michael Hurst, announces the lineup of productions for its 2017/18 Season.

A room in a country house sings of those who have lived there over a span of seventy years. Performed with striking theatricality by the OBIE-award winning Talking Band, The Room Sings, uses an array of genres to tell the stories of four interlocking sets of people. As their individual stories unfold they intertwine and illuminate each other.

Ultimately, their struggle to insert a piece of themselves into Shakespeare's masterpiece becomes the story of How to Hamlet, or Hamleting Hamlet, a non-linear, experimental and meta-theatrical meditation of the Bard's most famous work by Theater Reconstruction Ensemble.

As the centerpiece of the Company's 25th anniversary season, Target Margin Theater and Abrons Arts Center will present a rare revival of Eugene O'Neill's great trilogy, Mourning Becomes Electra, directed by Herskovits, and running April 26-May 20. Part Greek tragedy, part family play, part history play, Mourning Becomes Electra (O'Neill's 1931 adaptation of Aeschylus 'The Oresteia') mashes myth, Freudian psychology and melodrama into an epic six hour production.

Playwrights Horizons is now accepting entries today, Monday, March 6, for the LIVEforFIVE online lottery for $5 tickets to their world premiere production of The Profane, a new play by Zayd Dohrn (Outside People, Reborning).

The T. Schreiber Studio for Theatre & Film, one of the country's foremost professional actor training and performance programs, will celebrate its 48th Anniversary on Monday, March 27th, 2017. The event will also be in celebration of Terry Schreiber's 80th Year.

Acclaimed Off-Broadway theater company Playwrights Horizons will hold its annual Spring Gala on Monday evening, May 8 at the event space 583 Park Avenue. Playwrights Horizons has announced complete casting for THE PROFANE, the world premiere of a new play by Zayd Dohrn (Outside People, Reborning). Directed by Kip Fagan (Grand Concourse at , Exit Strategy, The Revisionist, Asuncion), THE PROFANE will be the fifth production of the theater company's 2016/2017 Season.

Last night, The Public Theater's Public Forum series presented PUBLIC FORUM: A READING OF THE LONG CHRISTMAS DINNER. The one-night-only reading and discussion featured Stephen Karam, Elizabeth Marvel, Eisa Davis, David Greenspan, poet Tracy K. Smith, and more.

As part of its 25th Anniversary Celebration, Target Margin Theater presents the Unseen O'Neill Lab. Lead artists Ann Marie Dorr, Kathleen Kennedy Tobin and Eva von Schweinitz revive some of O'Neill's known but rarely-seen works including Beyond the Horizon, Dynamo, and The Great God Brown.
