Broadway-Bound WHAT WOMEN DO (AND MEN TOO) Gets Reading at MTC Studios Tonight

A cast of six will lead a reading of the Broadway-bound WHAT WOMEN DO (and men too) written by playwright and Broadway performer William Youmans and directed by Don Stephenson. The new play is a battle-of-the-sexes farce set in New York City. The reading, which is being produced by The Resonance Ensemble, takes place tonight, July 7, 2015 at 7:00 p.m at the Manhattan Theatre Club Studios (311 W 43rd Street 8th Floor) and is open to the public.

In the 1950s, Americans believed they knew the identity of all the spies who worked on the atomic bomb: David Greenglass and Klaus Fuchs. They were wrong. There was one more, a young man of 18 named Ted Hall.

On Monday, June 1, HERE honors Mary McCormick, President of the Fund for the City of New York, and Donn Russell, Director of The Peg Santvoord Foundation, at its annual gala.  The gala, entitled FutureCity, begins at 6:00pm with the Taste of Tomorrow Dinner at City Winery (155 Varick Street) featuring VIP Cocktail Reception, dinner, performances and live & silent auctions, and continues with The HEREafter Party, beginning at 8:30pm at HERE (145 Sixth Avenue), with cocktails, hors d'Oeuvres, silent auction, performances and dancing.

Transport Group to Present Helen Keller-Inspired THREE DAYS TO SEE

Transport Group, the Drama Desk, Outer Critics Circle, and OBIE Award-winning theatre company, has announced its 2015 summer production Three Days To See, a performance piece conceived and directed by Jack Cummings III, slated to run July 12 - August 16 at Theatre 79. The cast includes Ito Aghayere (Orange is the New Black, The Liquid Plain), Patrick Boll (Mamma Mia, All the Way Home), Marc De La Cruz (If/Then, Allegiance), Theresa McCarthy (Queen of the Mist, Floyd Collins), Chinaza Uche (Bintou, The Day On Which a Man Dies), Barbara Walsh (Company, Falsettos), and Zoe Wilson. Transport Group's 2015 season will also include the previously announced revival of Once Upon a Mattress starring John 'Lypsinka' Epperson and Jackie Hoffman, slated for the fall. The previously announced musical, The Blonde Streak, has been postponed due to scheduling conflicts.

MCC Theater's Permission, the new comedy from Hand to God playwright Robert Askins recently extended by a week through June 14th. Permission celebrates its Opening Night tonight, May 20th, at the Lucille Lortel Theatre (121 Christopher Street). Permission stars Justin Bartha, of Broadway's Lend Me A Tenor, Off-Broadway's All New People and the blockbuster film The Hangover; Twilight Saga and 'Grey's Anatomy' Emmy-nominated star Elizabeth Reaser, returning to MCC following her critically acclaimed performance in this fall's The Money Shot; and theater regulars Nicole Lowrance, Talene Monahon, and Lucas Near-Verbrugghe. NYC Parks Transforms Gravesend Park, Breaks Ground on Phase II Renovations

NYC Parks Brooklyn Borough Commissioner Kevin Jeffrey today joined City Council Member David Greenfield, Representative Sandra Chapman from the office of Brooklyn Borough President Eric Adams, Community Board 12 District Manager Barry Spitzer, local students and community members to break ground on the second phase of renovations to Gravesend Park.

Among several theaters in New York City, Playwrights Horizons' more intimate 128-seat theater was named after the late philanthropist. Loudon Wainwright III, David Greenspan & More to Honor Talking Band This Month

Talking Band, the seminal downtown New York City theater collective, continue their 40th anniversary celebration with a gala evening that will bring together many of the countless artists with whom they have collaborated since Paul Zimet, Ellen Maddow and Tina Shepard founded the company in 1974. The event will take place Monday, April 27 at the Ukrainian National Home Ballroom (140 Second Ave, between St. Mark's Place and East 9th Street) in the East Village. Proceeds will support the Talking Band's artistic programs.

The T. Schreiber Studio for Theatre & Film, one of the country's foremost professional actor training and performance programs, will celebrate its 46th Anniversary Gala on Sunday April 26, 2015. The event will honor Academy Award-nominee and T. Schreiber alumnus, Edward Norton, recently seen in the Oscar-winning films "Birdman" and "The Grand Budapest Hotel." The evening will also pay tribute to alumni Jonny Orsini (Fish In The Dark) and Julie Halston (You Can't Take It With You), who will serve as mistress of ceremonies.
