A riff on Cat on a Hot Tin Roof, THE HOLE explores the relationship and personal struggles of two inmates in solitary confinement. We see them grapple with love, and the choice to either choose life and grow up, or succumb to the pressures of THE HOLE.

Liquid Music Series Presents Grand Band, Today

Grand Band, a New York-based "supergroup" (New York Times) formed by pianists Erika Dohi, David Friend, Paul Kerekes, Blair McMillen, Lisa Moore and Isabelle O'Connell, makes its Midwest debut at the Ordway Concert Hall today, May 16. Their performance features the world premiere of Three Fragile Systems by Missy Mazzoli alongside music by Julius Eastman, Michael Gordon, Paul Kerekes and Kate Moore.

Nan Goldin And Lydia Lunch Honored By The Kitchen At Spring 2018 Gala

The Kitchen's Spring 2018 Gala celebrates Nan Goldin and Lydia Lunch, two iconic American artists whose careers were borne of, deeply influenced, and have now engrained in collective memory the underground artistic spirit and political underpinnings of pre-gentrification Downtown New York subcultures (May 16). The evening features performances by New York's own post-punk band Bush Tetras, saxophonist and vocalist James Chance, and Australian singer JG Thirlwell & Ensemble with special guests. The after-party, hosted by Nicolas Jaar, will include a DJ set by Veronica Vasicka as well as performances by Retrovirus along with Lydia Lunch.

Full Lineup and Schedule Announced For Bang on a Can Marathon at NYU Skirball

Bang on a Can announces its 2018 Bang on a Can Marathon, presented for the first time at the NYU Skirball on Sunday, May 13, 2018 from 12-10pm. This incomparable super-mix of boundary-busting music from around the corner and around the world features ten hours of rare performances by some of the most innovative musicians of our time, side-by-side with some of today's most pioneering young artists. This year, the Bang on a Can Marathon will be streamed via Facebook Live on Bang on a Can's Facebook page and at bangonacan.org. Carnegie Hall to Present THREE GENERATIONS Curated by Steve Reich

On Wednesday, April 19, 2017 at 7:30pm in Zankel Hall, Carnegie Hall will present Three Generations: Michael Gordon, David Lang, and Julia Wolfe, curated by Steve Reich as part of his 80th birthday season celebration as Carnegie Hall's Richard and Barbara Debs Composer's Chair, featuring music by Bang on a Can co-founders Gordon (Yo Shakespeare, 1992), Lang (cheating, lying, stealing, 1993/95), and Wolfe (Lick, 1994; Early That Summer, 1993).

Ben Platt, Joe Manganiello & More Join DRUNK PARENTS Film

Five time Golden Globe and Emmy winner Alec Baldwin and Oscar nominee Salma Hayek will be joined by Jim Gaffigan, Joe Manganiello, Bridget Moynahan and Ben Platt in the feature comedy DRUNK PARENTS, to be directed by Fred Wolf, from a screenplay by Wolf and Peter Gaulke, it was announced by the film's producers, Robert Ogden Barnum and Aaron L. Gilbert.  Principal photography began on Wednesday, January 13 in New York City.
