Jitters is a comedic play that examines the state of Canadian culture and the lives of its frontline practitioners. Based on playwright David French's own opening night experiences and mishaps, it has been called one of the funnies backstage comedies ever written. BWW spoke with Noah Reid and C. David Johnson about the current state of the Arts in Canada, young people and the theatre and (of course) their own opening night 'Jitters'

The Tarragon Theatre in Toronto, known for its development, creation and encouragement of new work, has announced the lineup for its annual Play Reading Week which will run from November 19 to 28, 2009. In all, nine original works will be given a reading by professional actors. This year's offerings will include the following theatrical works:

Soulpepper Unveils Their 2010 Season

Albert Schultz, Founding Artistic Director of Soulpepper Theatre Company, today announced the company's 2010 season. Comprised of 12 productions, the season includes eight new stagings and a return of four of Soulpepper's celebrated productions: Eric Peterson and John Gray's Billy Bishop Goes to War, David Mamet's Glengarry Glen Ross, Lorraine Hansberry's A Raisin in the Sun and Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol.
