Chris Botti to Launch 2013-14 Season at New York Pops, 10/4

On October 4, 2013, The New York Pops orchestra will launch its 31st Season at Carnegie Hall with An Evening with Chris Botti. Music Director and Conductor Steven Reineke - described by The New York Times as a "polished, welcoming host" who is "young and vigorous, with a playful attitude" - will lead the orchestra in a highly-anticipated opening with America's largest-selling instrumental artist, trumpeter Chris Botti. The performance will include selections such as Chopin's "Prelude in C Minor," "Emmanuel," and "When I Fall in Love" from his recent Grammy Award-winning album Impressions, as well as other popular favorites, at Carnegie Hall's Stern Auditorium/Perelman Stage.
Avenged Sevenfold Makes Final Stop of Hail to the King Tour at Mandalay Bay, 10/26

For the first time since 2011, rock band Avenged Sevenfold will head out on the road for the Hail to the King Tour and make its final stop at the Mandalay Bay Events Center Saturday, Oct. 26. Touring with the band are special guests Deftones and Ghost B.C. The tour comes in support of Avenged Sevenfold's upcoming sixth studio album, Hail to the King.

Juilliard's Drama Division announces the 2013-2014 season of fully-staged productions featuring Juilliard's 43rd group of acting students in their fourth and final year in the drama program at Juilliard. This season's plays include Jeffrey Hatcher's Smash, directed by Victor Pappas; Amy Herzog's The Great God Pan, directed by Maria Mileaf; and Sam Shepard's Buried Child, directed by Daniel Fish. All performances take place in the Stephanie P. McClelland Drama Theater at Juilliard.

This past Friday, May 3, The Tenors performed at The NYCB Theatre at Westbury. Their PBS special has been airing on WNET TV 13 and WLIV TV 21 in the tristate area, and pledge people were treated to a wonderful evening of music, and some even a Meet and Greet with the singers after the show.
