Science fiction superstars present one-act plays!

'Star Trek' alumni will gather for a one-night only benefit performance of Orson Welles' iconic 1938 radio drama, WAR OF THE WORLDS at 8 PM on January 17, 2015.

Emmy nominee, Jason Ritter ("Parenthood"), star of NBC's THE EVENT and FREDDY VS. JASON has joined the cast of a one-night only benefit performance of Orson Welles' iconic 1938 radio drama, WAR OF THE WORLDS at 8 PM on January 17, 2015.

Andrew Carlberg, in association with Ride on Theatre, presents an immersive, all new theatrical experience, The Blind Date Project, created by Bojana Novakovic and Mark Winter and directed by Scott Rodgers (in rotation with Tanya Goldberg and Mark Winter). Coming straight from sell out seasons around Australia, The Blind Date Project will open on Wednesday, May 28 at 8pm and be an ongoing Wednesday night event at the Three Clubs 1123 N. Vine St. (at Santa Monica Blvd.) in Hollywood.

SCI-FEST, the 1st Annual Los Angeles Science Fiction One-Act Play Festival premieres at The ACME Theatre (135 N. La Brea Avenue) featuring two different, riveting evenings ('A' and 'B' rotating weekly) of new and classic sci fi works. Evening 'A' premieres Tuesday, May 6. Evening 'B' premieres Tuesday, May 13. Performances will run Tuesdays - Saturdays @ 8 PM; Sundays at 3 PM through June 1, 2014.

Combining his prodigious body of work as an actor, writer and director, David has created an evening of outrageous, sometimes heart-breaking and always side-splitting true stories that provide a rare look into an entertainer's quest for a middle class life in Hollywood. David Dean Bottrell is Working is directed by Jim Fall and produced by Lee Costello.

Streep Tease: An Evening of Meryl Streep Monologues performed by an All-Male Cast, extends its run thru April 24, to sold out performances every Saturday evening, 8 p.m. at the Bang Improv Theater in Los Angeles, it was announced today by the show's Creator & Co-Executive Producer Roy Cruz.

What a glorious little show so full of possibilities! Performed by eight men, delivering monologues made famous by Meryl Streep from many of her iconic films, there is something for everyone in this piece: comedy, drama, laughter, tears - and even audience participation. Yes, there are two quiz games with prizes, where audience members are asked to answer trivia questions about Ms Streep and to match her famous quotes to the films in which they originated. I had completely forgotten that she graduated from Vassar with a major in costume design. It seemed back then that our heroine didn't deem herself pretty enough to make it as a movie star. What a delectable twist of fate.
