STATE OF THE ARTS Radio Series Moves to Thursdays on LATalkRadio.com, Beginning Today, 7/19

STATE OF THE ARTS (SOTA), the critically acclaimed weekly performing arts radio series which previously, since its May 31, 2010 premiere, aired live on Mondays from 4:00 - 4:50 pm PST on the LATalkRadio.com Network, is moving its weekly broadcast to Thursdays beginning today, July 19, 2012, it was previously announced by State of the Arts co-producer/co-hosts and theatre professionals MICHAEL STERLING & Paul Stroili.

STATE OF THE ARTS (SOTA), the critically acclaimed weekly performing arts radio series which previously, since its May 31, 2010 premiere, aired live on Mondays from 4:00 - 4:50 pm PST on the LATalkRadio.com Network, is moving its weekly broadcast to Thursdays beginning Thursday, July 19, 2012, it was announced today by State of the Arts co-producer/co-hosts and theatre professionals MICHAEL STERLING & PAUL STROILI. Guests on July 19 will include TV, Broadway star and Tony Award nominee CHRISTOPHER SIEBER (Shrek The Musical, and co-star with George Hamilton in the U.S. National Tour of La Cage Aux Folles; and Film and Television star ESAI MORALES (La Bamba, NYPD Blue, Caprica - Syfy TV's prequel to the series Battlestar Galactica).

HOUSE Opens Rogue Machine's Off The Clock Series Tonight, 7/6

On the heels of their 2011 Best Production Awards sweep (Los Angeles Drama Critics Circle, LA Weekly, Ovation, and Garland Awards) for Small Engine Repair, which launched Rogue Machine's "Off The Clock" series last season, HOUSE will take the first late night slot this season tonight, July 6th.

HALF A SIXPENCE Tony Award Nominee James Grout Dies at 84

British stage, film, television and radio star James Grout, nominated for a Tony Award for his performance as Harry Chitterlow in Half a Sixpence, has died, according to The Guardian. He was 84.

FX's TWO AND A HALF MEN 12-Hour Marathon to Feature Charlie Sheen's Favorite Episodes, 6/28

Charlie Sheen fondly recalls his former series Two and a Half Men by selecting his 24 favorite episodes for special 12-hour Men marathon this Thursday, June 28 from 9 AM-9:00 PM on FX. The Two and a Half Men marathon will lead into the launch of FX's highly anticipated summer comedy block which kicks off with two back-to-back episodes of Sheen's new comedy series Anger Management at 9 PM and 9:30 PM. Afterwards, the laughs continue with the season two premiere of Wilfred at 10 PM, the season three premiere of Louie at 10:30 PM, and the debut of Brand X with Russell Brand at 11 PM. Westport Country Playhouse Hosts THE BREAD WINNER Reading Tonight, 6/25

"The Bread Winner" by W. Somerset Maugham, the author of "The Circle" and "The Constant Wife," will be presented as a Script in Hand playreading at Westport Country Playhouse, tonight, June 25, 7 p.m. The reading will be directed by Anne Keefe, Playhouse artistic advisor, who is also curator of the Script in Hand series. Casting will be announced soon. Tickets to the one-night-only event are $15.

Named by Orson Welles as "the most original mind in magic", world famous mentalist and master magician Max Maven makes his Off-Broadway debut in the summer's most mind bending supernatural attraction, MAX MAVEN: THINKING IN PERSON. Previews began at The Abingdon Theatre Arts Complex (312 W. 36th Street -1st floor) on June 12th. Presented by Alexander Marshall and Giles Cole, Maven's electrifyingform of on-stage mentalism, officially opened last night, June 14th and continues until Sunday, July 1st. TV: Sterling's Upstairs Opens at The Federal

Continuing its six year reign as the most popular and award-winning supper club of its kind in the greater Los Angeles area, dedicated to presenting the best of Broadway performers and nightclub artists dedicated to the Great American Songbook, Sterling's Upstairs had its Grand Opening Sunday, April 1st at The Federal Bar and Restaurant in North Hollywood's trendy NoHo Arts District. Sterling's presented Bruce Kimmel's Kritzerland production of Take Me Along: The Songs of Bob Merrill as its premiere offering. The six member cast starred musical theatre stars Julie Garnye and Juliana Hansen, Broadway's Melody Hollis and Kristofer McNeely, and musical theatre star Jeffrey Christopher Todd, with Special Guest... Broadway, film, TV, concert and recording star Lainie Kazan. Christy Crowel served as the evening's Musical Director, with Shelly Markham serving as Musical Director for Lainie Kazan. Bruce Kimmel conceived, produced and directed Take Me Along, with Adryan Russ on board as Associate Producer.
