El Portal Theatre Presents SUPERNATURAL MAGIC SHOW, 6/15-24

By:

El Portal Theatre presents Gary Peterson's SUPERNATURAL MAGIC SHOW, starring Los Angeles Magician Gary Peterson and MAVI, and directed by Tony Clark on June 15 – 24, 2012, with the Gala Opening Night, Friday, June 15 at 8pm at the historic El Portal Theatre Mainstage in the NOHO Arts District, North Hollywood, CA.

SUPERNATURAL MAGIC Is a Grand Scale Original magic show. This Las Vegas style show is a journey out of reality as we know it and into the world of possibility. For centuries, cultures from around the world have believed in the supernatural and for a limited time it is your chance to witness it first hand. From ancient powers of the great Mayans, to strange phenomena from beyond the grave, Gary Peterson takes a closer look at these and many more strange happenings and what ifs. Encompassing all elements of professional magic, the show will range from close-up and slight-of-hand to large scale, "Vegas-size" illusions. Featured illusions include "THE SUPERNATURAL SPHERE", "THE GUILLOTINE" and "NEON BLADES OF DESPAIR".

The show also features the talents of International German Opera Singer MAVI, the award winning Magician Danny Cole and Scott Land's world renowned Marionettes, for an unforgettable evening of fun for the whole family.

Just like most magicians, Gary got his start at a very young age, but unlike other kids, magic wasn't just a hobby, it was a way of life. While other kids had fun playing on the playground, Gary would spend every waking second creating new ideas, rehearsing, and presenting these miracles to anyone who would watch.

At the ripe old age of 15, he joined the famous Long Beach Mystics Magic club, and later became the president of this prestigious organization. It later became one of the most prolific magic clubs in the world producing from it many of the world's most famous magicians.

At 19 he started a magic company called West Coast Magic Manufacturers, which manufactured magic, illusions and special effects. Not only could Gary now perform bigger tricks but also he was going to literally build his future. This ultimately led to him working on several TV specials for David Copperfield, and creating some of the most astonishing magic tricks for fellow illusionist and magicians.

Gary Peterson is one very special type person whose talents and abilities are beyond SUPERNATURAL. This amazing talent was born into a magical life.

The show opens Friday June 15 at 8PM and runs Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, at 8PM, Saturday at 4PM & 9PM and Sunday 3PM. TICKETS: $40 Sides, $50 Center, $100 VIP (includes back stage tour, magic trick and on stage lesson), $99 Family 4-Pack

For Tickets call: 818-508-4200, 866-811-4111, or order online at www.elportaltheatre.com.
