Today we are talking to a two-time Tony Award winning lyricist and book writer who was responsible for the 2010 Best Musical winner, MEMPHIS, and who has since written the libretto of the Gershwin revue NICE WORK IF YOU CAN GET and received a well-earned Tony nomination for his efforts; one of the show's ten nods - Joe DiPietro. In this concluding portion of our conversation, DiPietro and I break down the process of creating NICE WORK IF YOU CAN GET IT and he comments on the starry cast - including Matthew Broderick, Kelli O'Hara, Judy Kaye and Estelle Parsons - and the process of collaboration in bringing the 2012 Tony Awards top nominee to the Broadway stage. Additionally, DiPietro fills us in on the future for THE TOXIC AVENGER and its tentative Broadway plans, as well as the upcoming West End mountings of MEMPHIS and, hopefully, NICE WORK - and, a look ahead to his next David Bryan collaboration, CHASING THE SONG, as well. The 2012-2013 Center Theatre Group/Ahmanson Theatre season was announced today by CTG Artistic Director Michael Ritchie. The new season, the 46th season at the Music Center of Los Angeles, will include Jeff Goldblum in the West Coast premiere of the smart, sexy, new Broadway comedy "Seminar," Rachel York in the beloved 1930s musical romp - Cole Porter's "Anything Goes," the American premiere and pre-Broadway presentation of the dramatic musical "Backbeat" which features classic rock 'n' roll in its story of the birth of the Beatles, Tracie Bennett starring as the iconic Judy Garland in the West Coast premiere of the acclaimed play with music - "End of the Rainbow," and the daring new musical that explores a shocking event in American history - Kander and Ebb's "The Scottsboro Boys." In addition, the exuberant musical "Fela!" will return for a limited engagement as a bonus option to the season subscription.

Nick Jonas gave a goodbye speech at the final performance of How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying on Broadway, May 20, 2012. He spoke about his return to Broadway 'as a man,' acknowledged Daniel Radcliffe and Darren Criss for their hard work and talent in the role of J. Pierrepont Finch before him, and talked about the support and artistry of his fellow cast members, the producers, and his love for the audience and this 'great show.' Watch the video below!

The revival of the Tony Award and Pulitzer Prize-winning musical comedy HOW TO SUCCEED IN BUSINESS WITHOUT REALLY TRYING will play its final performance today, May 20, 2012. The 50th Anniversary production will have played 30 preview and 473 regular performances at Broadway's Al Hirschfeld Theatre (302 West 45th Street). The show has seen three leading men in the role of J. Pierrepont Finch-Daniel Radcliffe, Darren Criss and Nick Jonas. The Tony-nominated Best Musical NICE WORK IF YOU CAN GET IT will get an Original Broadway Cast Recording on the Shout! Factory label to be distributed by Sony. The album will be recorded at Kaufman Astoria Studios in Long Island City, NY on May 20th and 21st. The release date will be announced soon. The album will be produced by six-time Grammy® nominee Robert Sher.

Producers Hal Luftig and Scott Sanders announced today that the Tony Award Nominated Best Revival of a Musical, Tim Rice's and Andrew Lloyd Webber's EVITA, will launch a first national tour in the fall of 2013 at Providence Performing Arts Center in Providence, Rhode Island. Casting and additional information will be announced at a later date.

The producers of the critically acclaimed and Tony-nominated Best Musical NICE WORK IF YOU CAN GET IT are pleased to announce the launch of a US national tour in the fall of 2013. NICE WORK IF YOU CAN GET IT is the new musical comedy directed and choreographed by three-time Tony Award-winner Kathleen Marshall (Anything Goes) featuring music and lyrics by George Gershwin and Ira Gershwin and a book by two-time Tony Award-winner Joe DiPietro (Memphis). The production is currently playing on Broadway at the Imperial Theatre (249 West 45th Street).

Outspoken and always opinionated radio 'shock jock' Howard Stern, the newly appointed judge of 'America's Got Talent,' makes his first guest appearance on THE VIEW live, MAY 10. Stern is the show's sole featured guest for the entire hour and will be seated alongside all five co-hosts.

Two-time Tony Award-winner Matthew Broderick, Robyn Hurder and the cast of the Tony-nominated Best Musical NICE WORK IF YOU CAN GET IT will perform "Sweet & Lowdown" on CBS "The Late Show with David Letterman" tonight, Thursday, May 3rd between 11:35 p.m. and 12:35 a.m. Check local listings.

Colin Donnell, who currently plays the role of 'Billy Crocker' in Anything Goes, is set to depart the production on April 29. Bill English, who played the role while Donnell was filming a pilot in January, will take over started May 1.

MASTERWORKS BROADWAY has announced details of the release of the complete New Broadway Cast Recording of Evita, the first complete English language stage recording of the show since the original 1979 Broadway cast album. The two-CD set, produced by Andrew Lloyd Webber and Nigel Wright, with Tim Rice as Executive Producer, will be released on June 26, 2012.
