Dog Run Rep Presents THE MAN WHO ATE MICHAEL ROCKEFELLER, 9/10-10/3

DOG RUN REP is presenting the world premiere of The Man Who Ate Michael Rockefeller, a new play by Jeff Cohen based on the short story by Christopher Stokes, directed by Alfred Preisser. In 1961, Michael Rockefeller, 23 years old, disappeared among the Asmat People of Papua, New Guinea. He was never heard from again. This is the story of what might have happened, told by the Asmat people. The Man Who Ate Michael Rockefeller will play a four-week limited engagement at the West End Theatre, The Church of St. Paul & St. Andrew, 263 West 86th Street @ West End Avenue. All tickets are $18. Performances begin Friday, September 10 and continue through Sunday, October 3. Opening Night is Sunday, September 12 at 7 pm. Please note the following performance schedule:

Science Channel general manager and executive vice president of programming Debbie Myers announced today that the network is partnering with film and television star Wilmer Valderrama and his WV Enterprises and Emmy Award-winning executive producer Tom Forman of RelativityREAL to produce BUGGING OUT. An all-new series about the little-known world of exotic (and sometimes creepy) insects, BUGGING OUT is set to debut in 2011. Science Channel is offering viewers a special sneak preview of the series on Tuesday, October 5, 2010, at 9 PM (ET).

A FEW GOOD MEN Aiming for 2010 - 2011 Revival; Davenport Produces, Esbjornson Directs

The New York Times is reporting that Producer Ken Davenport (Oleanna, 13, Altar Boyz, Awesome 80s Prom) is behind a new stage revival of Aaron Sorkin's A Few Good Men. He, alongside director David Esbjornson (The Goat, Or Who Is Sylvia?) are in the process of seeking out a lead to star as Lt. Daniel Kaffee in the production in a 2010-2011 revival on Broadway. This production will be the first revival since 1991, when it played the Music Box Theatre. Tom Hulce originated the role on stage in 1989. Tom Cruise famously took the role to the silver screen in 1991.
