This year, Sarasota will help Dave Koz and Friends celebrate the 15th Anniversary of his Christmas Tour. The legendary saxophonist's tour will debut at the Van Wezel Performing Arts Hall on November 23, 2012. The Christmas Tour 2012 follows in the success of his Grammy-nominated album, "Hello Tomorrow," and features songs from his four classic Christmas Albums.
Grammy-nominated saxman Dave Koz's contribution to our community this year will surpass his usual stellar holiday entertainment via the 15th Annual Dave Koz & Friends Christmas Tour. On December 6, 2012, Koz joins PlayhouseSquare and UH Rainbow Babies & Children's Hospital to ask his fans to bring new toys or books to his 7:30 PM Palace Theatre concert. Collected items will be distributed to the hospital's patients. Also, Koz is donating $1 from each of his CDs sold at the concert to Rainbow Babies & Children's Hospital.

On Dec. 9 at 6 p.m., The Smith Center will host a holiday concert with singer and famed Broadway actress Linda Eder in Symphony Park.

Starring in the dual title role of Dr. Henry Jekyll and Edward Hyde, American Idol star and Tony Award nominee Constantine Maroulis injects new life into the classic tale of good and evil, along with Grammy nominated R&B artist Deborah Cox. The show, currently on a 25-week national tour, will return to Broadway at the Richard Rodgers Theatre in April 2013. The press opening night will be on Tuesday, November 20 at 7:30 p.m.

In 2009-2010, the group celebrated its 60th anniversary season during which the musical, 'Li'l Abner" was presented from March 12 to April 17, 2010. The production was directed and choreographed by Victoria Miller and produced by Susan Goldman Weisbarth, and both went on to win the group's Marcom Masque Awards as Best Director and Best Producer for the season.
