Syfy today announced that it will develop as longform programming Pax Romana, Jonathan Hickman's graphic novel about a time traveling clash of ages and arms, and Ronin, based on Frank Miller's (300) comic book series, about an avenging samurai.
On May 5th, Katie Thompson (Giant, 'So You Think You Can Dance'), Hannah Elless (Godspell, Somewhere in Time, The Other Josh Cohen), Cedric Neal (After Midnight, Porgy and Bess), Blake Whyte (Mamma Mia!, Wicked), Patrick Newton (Blue Man Group), and Isaac Woofter (War Horse) will star in the premiere New York presentation of The Moon and the Sea, a new musical by Creighton Irons.

According to Zap2it, a new casting notice for the hit AMC series' fifth season has been posted on Acting-Auditions.org, with 'new series regulars, recurring roles, and guest starring roles' needing to be filled. The notice also confirms that production on the fifth season will begin in 'early 2014.'
