This Monday, August 4th, at 8:00pm the New Globe Theater will be presenting VARIATIONS ON SHAKESPEARE: An Evening of Songs Inspired by the Bard. This concert will highlight songs from musicals based on the works of William Shakespeare with performances by some of Broadway's hottest stars. Broadway World is exclusively giving away a pair of tickets to this nearly sold out event.

This Monday, August 4th, at 8:00pm the New Globe Theater will be presenting VARIATIONS ON SHAKESPEARE: An Evening of Songs Inspired by the Bard.

The final concert in Town Hall's Summer Broadway Festival, ALL SINGIN'! ALL DANCIN!' took place on July 28th at 8PM. The production of ALL SINGIN'! ALL DANCIN'! featured well known Broadway showtunes sporting brand new choreography exclusively created by Joshua Rhodes and danced by the talented Broadway hoofers of today, including Kendrick Jones, Megan Sikora, Melinda Sullivan, Lisa Gadja and Lorin Latarro.

Broadway Stands Up for Freedom, a concert to benefit the Youth Programs of the NYCLU, will take place on Monday, July 21 at 7:30pm at the NYU Skirball Center.

On June 11th, 2008 COMPOSE YOURSELF! began at the York Theatre Company The music is by Larry Grossman with lyrics by Hal Hackady, Ellen Fitzhugh, Betty Comden & Adolph Green, Buz Kohan, Carol Hall, Fred Ebb,Amanda Green, Drey Shepperd and Michael Korie. The cast boasts Nikki Renee Daniels (Les Misérables), Darius de Haas (Rent), Jason Graae (A Grand Night for Singing), Tony Nomimee Liz Larsen (Hairspray, The Most Happy Fella), Lorna Luft (Guys and Dolls) and Howard McGillin (The Phantom of the Opera). Stuart Ross (Forever Plaid creator) directs the production with music direction by David Snyder. Award-winning composer Grossman is featured at the piano.

Emmy and Tony-winner Tyne Daly joins the cast of 'Here To Stay,' a Gala evening featuring performances by Susan Graham, Judy Kaye, Anna Christy, John Musto, Bruce Adler and Vince Giordano, in celebration of New York Festival of Song's (NYFOS) 20th Anniversary season, on Wednesday, May 21. Ms. Daly has graciously stepped in to replace the previously announced Frederica von Stade, who is not able to perform due to family matters. The concert takes places at Zankel Hall at Carnegie Hall at 7:00pm, and is followed by a dinner and additional musical surprises at the Rainbow Room at 9:00pm.

PS CLASSICS is proud to announce the release of ONE OUNCE OF TRUTH: THE NIKKI GIOVANII SONGS, the extraordinary new collaboration from the team of vocalist Capathia Jenkins and songwriter/performer Louis Rosen. Proceeds from the Gala will support NYFOS programs, in New York as well as national tours, recordings and commissions, and education programs.
