The Kennedy Center today announced the casting for Golden Age, a new play by Terrence McNally. Following its world premiere with the Philadelphia Theatre Company, the production will run March 12 to April 4, 2010 in the Kennedy Center Family Theater as part of Terrence McNally's Nights at the Opera, a five-week event featuring three of the playwright's works performed concurrently on three Kennedy Center stages.

The American Film Institute announced its official selection for the AFI awards, which honor the top television shows and films of the year. Amongst the nominees for 2009 is Glee, the FOX musical hit which ended its season finale on a high note last week, with 8.1 million viewers tuning in. Overall, the season has been a rousing success, becoming FOX's top grosser and generating 2 chart-topping albums, not to mention making stars of its cast.
Lea Michele, star of Broadway's 'Spring Awakening' and currently seen in FOX's mega-hit show 'Glee', paid an unpublicized visit to ABC's 'Jimmy Kimmel Live' on Thursday night. During her apperance, Michele promoted the upcoming December 29 DVD release of the 'Glee' fall season, and the newly released ;Glee: The Music Vol. 2' CD.
