Montclair State University's PEAK PERFORMANCES 2017-18 Season Dedicated Only To Women

Peak Performances, the renowned series at Montclair State University that plays a key role in the global performing arts landscape by introducing major new stage productions and critical innovations in the development and presentation of contemporary theater, dance, performance art and music, is proud to announce that its 2017-18 season will consist entirely of new works by women.

A CHORUS LINE, SUNDAY IN THE PARK WITH GEORGE and More Set for The Arvada Center's 2017-18 Season

The Arvada Center has announced its 2017-18 season, a diverse line-up of plays and musicals. The three musical and four play season includes two regional premiere plays performed in repertory, as well as the return of one of the Arvada Center's most highly-requested musicals. The season also marks the second-year of the Black Box Repertory Theatre, a company of actors, who will perform three of the Black Box Theatre's four plays in repertory.

Cast Announced for First Floor Theater's AMERICAN HERO

Fresh off their sold-out production of PEERLESS, First Floor Theater will conclude their fifth season with the Chicago premiere of Bess Wohl's AMERICAN HERO, directed by Cody Estle. AMERICAN HERO will play May 8 - June 3, 2017 at The Den Theatre, 1333 N Milwaukee Ave. in Chicago.

Broadening Theatrics to Present Non-Traditional A CHORUS LINE at TADA!

Broadening Theatrics, in association with Open Bar Theatricals (openbartheatricals.org), will present a unique production of A Chorus Line in which dancers have been cast regardless of race, gender, body type, age, or gender identity. Presented by arrangement with Tams-Witmark Music Library, Inc., this rare production, directed and choreographed by Rachel Broadwell, will run March 31st, April 1st, and April 2nd at 8pm at TADA! Theatre (15 W 28th St.).

Musicians of Lenox Hill Performs at the Temple Israel of the City of New York, 4/27

On Thursday, April 27 at 8 PM, the Musicians of Lenox Hill, under the artistic direction of Soo-Kyung Park, will perform at the Temple Israel of the City of New York located at 112 East 75th Street in New York City. The program, entitled “From Mourning to Morning: Music of War and Peace” features Sibelius' Duo for Violin and Viola in C Major, Liszt's Après une Lecture de Dante: Fantasia quasi Sonata for Solo Piano, Concertino for Flute, Viola and Piano by Bloch, and Mendelssohn's String Quartet No. 2 in A minor, op 13. 

BWW Interview: Dante Brown and the DB/WD WORKSHOP

Dante Brown/Warehouse Dance (DB/WD) will be hosting its first annual workshop May 19-21, 2017 at the Gowanus Loft in Brooklyn, NY. Over the course of three days, professional artists (ages 18 and over) will be able to interact with a range of choreographers who are leaders in the dance community, making provocative work. The artists will lead a workshop based on their choreographic interests as well as share excerpts of their work in an evening performance. Partial proceeds from the program will be donated to the Black Lives Matter movement.

Edinburgh International Festival Launches 2017 Programme

???????Edinburgh International Festival today unveiled its 2017 programme which marks the event's 70th anniversary. This year's International Festival runs from Friday 4 to Monday 28 August, welcoming 2,020 artists from 40 nations to perform in Scotland's capital city.
