Tommy Bahama, the island-inspired lifestyle brand will open its first global flagship store located at 551 Fifth Avenue in New York. The store is the largest Tommy Bahama retail location worldwide and features a 5,000-square-foot store featuring men's and women's apparel, swimwear, footwear, accessories and home decor, the 1,300 square-foot Marlin Bar, the only free-standing bar between the Empire State Building and Central Park, as well as a 6,700-square-foot Tommy Bahama Restaurant and Bar, located on the second floor. The retail store opens today, November 17, followed by The Tommy Bahama Restaurant and Bar, in early December which was delayed due to the after effects of Hurricane Sandy.

Though the team of Richard Maltby, Jr. (lyrics) and David Shire (music) hasn't had much luck when it comes to book musicals (Baby and Big, despite their admirers, struggled through disappointing Broadway runs.) when it comes to Off-Broadway musical revues, the boys are two-time champs.  Their 1970s hit, Starting Here, Starting Now, was topped in 1989 by a 300+ performance run of Closer Than Ever, which is now getting a sparkling revival at the York.

York Theatre Company presents the first New York City revival of the classic Off-Broadway hit Closer Than Ever with Lyrics by Richard Maltby, Jr. and Music by David Shire. It's set for a limited run through July 14, 2012 at The York Theatre at Saint Peter's (Citicorp Building, entrance on East 54th Street, just east of Lexington Avenue).

In observance of World AIDS Day (Thursday, December 1) the Theater District Shake Shack will offer 'The Red Ribbon,' a special concrete with all proceeds benefiting Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS. 'The Red Ribbon' features Shake Shack's dense vanilla frozen custard blended with strawberry & marshmallow sauce, crispy wafers and topped with a sprinkling of cinnamon sugar. 'The Red Ribbon' is available only on World AIDS Day (the second year).

Bravo's 'Top Chef Masters' returns with a brand new format and 12 new award-winning chefs hungry to compete for the title of 'Top Chef Master' and win $100,000 for their charity. This season, the masters will no longer be judged on a scale, but in elimination style challenges just as the tried and true format of the original 'Top Chef.' In each episode, money will be at stake, with the winners of every quickfire challenge winning $5,000 and elimination challenges winning $10,000 for their designated charities. As previously announced, celebrity chef Curtis Stone will serve as the newly appointed host of the series along with returning judge and culinary expert, James Oseland, and new series judge, the legendary food critic and author, Ruth Reichl. The third season of 'Top Chef Masters' premieres on Wednesday, April 6 at 11 p.m. ET/PT and will move to its regular time period on April 13 at 10 p.m. ET/PT.

Above the Title Entertainment (Jed Bernstein) has named Britt Marden as its new Vice President of Marketing and Development. Ms. Marden brings over a decade of theatrical experience in to her new position, where she will be in charge of expanding Above the Title Entertainment's capabilities in the areas of marketing and sponsorships, as well as in event production.
