The Concrete Jungle, an original work from American composer Bobby Cronin opened at the Studio Theatre of London's Arts Educational School on 8th June, 2012, and runs until the 16th June, 2012. The show follows the lives and loves of a group of young singletons who have just moved to New York City as they share stories in their local bar, 'The Concrete Jungle'.
The CBC will be casting Dorothy in an Andrew Lloyd Webber production of THE WIZARD OF OZ via a live TV show, Over the Rainbow. Auditions begin in June, and the show will mount in December, according to 680news.com.
The twelve finalists for this year's Stephen Sondheim Society Student Performer of the Year Competition will be judged by Danielle Hope (Dorothy in Wizard of Oz and soon to be in the film of Les Miserables), Michael McCabe (Producer, Wicked), David Shrubsole (Conductor, London Road) and Laurie Sansom (Artistic Director, Derngate Theatre, Northampton). The chairman of the judges will be Edward Seckerson, Chief Classical Music and Opera Critic for The Independent and the prize will be awarded by Julia McKenzie and a representative of Overtures: The Bunnett-Muir Musical Theatre Archive Trust, sponsors of the SSSSSPOTY first prize. The event is being hosted by Claire Moore (London Road/Miss Saigon) and takes place at 3pm on Sunday 27 May at the Queen's Theatre, Shaftesbury Avenue, London.
Danielle Hope will join the cast of London's West End production of Les Miserables beginning June 18 starring as Eponine. She joins Geronimo Rauch and Tam Mutu, who will join the cast to play Jean Valjean and Javert respectively, Daily Mail reports.

Sophie Evans has just announced via her Twitter that she will be filling in Danielle Hope's ruby slippers in the West End production of The Wizard of Oz on February 7, 2012. Evans was the runner up in the BBC reality talent competition show, Over The Rainbow, which tracked Andrew Lloyd Webber's search for his new Dorothy.
