BroadwayWorld has just learned that casting has been announced for the brand new production of THE SOUND OF MUSIC, directed by three-time Tony Award winner Jack O'Brien. This lavish new production launches this September at the Ahmanson Theatre in Los Angeles, under the auspices of the Center Theatre Group, and will then tour North America for multiple seasons, playing multi-week and week-long engagements.

Today, September 20, the sister-Centers plan a huge kickoff event which will preview some of those upcoming performances. More than four dozen performers will perform in the hour and a half show. The evening is emceed and hosted by WGAL's anchor person Kim Lemon.
