The Los Angeles Drama Critics Circle (LADCC) has announced its nominations and special awards for excellence in Los Angeles and Orange County theatre in 2012. The 44th annual LADCC Awards ceremony will take place on Monday, March 18 at historic, heralded Los Angeles Theatre Center, 514 S. Spring Street in downtown L.A.

As reported by Variety, the Showtime network and actor Michael C. Hall, star of Showtime's hit series 'Dexter', have been locked in contract negotiations for several months. Now Variety reports that if an agreement can be successfully reached between the cable network and the actor, Hall would be allowed to star in the upcoming Broadway musical adaptation of Tim Burton's, BIG FISH.
According to Deadline.com, Broadway veteran Michael C. Hall is in negotiations to lead an upcoming Broaway production of BIG FISH. Susan Stroan will direct the stage adaptation of the Tim Burton film, which will feature music by Andrew Lippa. Hugh Jackman was originally rumored to star inthe production, but 'his movie schedule got in the way and the producers turned to Hall.'
The New York Times reports today that Susan Stromen will direct a musical adaptation of Tim Burton's film, Big Fish. As BroadwayWorld previously reported, Hugh Jackman and Laura Benanti recently participated in a reading of the show. The musical is aiming for a spring 2012 Broadway opening.
