On October 24, the Stage Directors and Choreographers Foundation (SDC Foundation) will celebrate the 27th Annual Joe A. Callaway Award winners for Direction and Choreography at the Laurie Beechman Theatre. The evening will be hosted by former Callaway Award-winning Jack O'Brien and Callaway Award finalist Joshua Bergasse.

Last night two-time Tony Award-winner Viola Davis made history as the first African-American to win an Emmy in the Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series category. She was recognized for her role as the brilliant attorney and professor Annalise Keating on the Shonda Rhimes drama HOW TO GET AWAY WITH MURDER. Rehearsals begin tomorrow, Tuesday, September 13, for the world-premiere production of Kingdom Come by Jenny Rachel Weiner, directed by Kip Fagan, as part of Roundabout's 50th Anniversary Season.

The Public Theater recently announced that Louis Cancelmi, last seen as Caliban in the Shakespeare in the Park production of The Tempest, had stepped into the company of Troilus and Cressida as Achilles, replacing David Harbour, who suffered an injury during previews and will be unable to complete the run. The play celebrates its opening tonight, August 9, after a short delay.

Directed by Daniel Sullivan, TROILUS AND CRESSIDA began performances on Tuesday, July 19 and will run through Sunday, August 14, with an official press opening on Tuesday, August 9. .
