GLT's THE WINTER'S TALE is a disappointment. This is a difficult script to produce due to the many emotional and psychological levels which require a clear staging philosophy. Due to the lack of focused directing by Jesse Berger, the production never sets a clear course and leaves so much of Shakespeare's brilliance untapped.

Great Lakes Theater will present CAMP THEATER! - a summer drama camp held at Berea High School for students ages 4-18. Students can sign up for one or both weeks of camp, which will run June 18-22, and June 25-29, 2012. Immersing participants in interactive and educational theater-based activities, CAMP THEATRE is a unique opportunity for students to work with and learn from Great Lakes Theater professional teaching artists in a fun, safe and supportive environment.

Great Lakes Theater, in partnership with WCPN 90.3 FM ideastream, invites students to submit new, original music inspired by William Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet for its 2012 songwriting contest. The contest is open to soloists or bands. All middle and high school students that reside in Ohio are eligible. Music submissions of all styles and genres are accepted, including instrumentals.
