Theatre Aspen's upcoming summer season, reported Artistic Director Paige Price. The award-winning regional theatre unveiled the brand new Hurst Theatre in Rio Grande Park on June 24th with two musicals and a comedy. The theatre's 28th season of summer repertory features the regional premiere of Becky's New Car, by native Coloradan Steven Dietz, starring Emmy- and Tony-nominee Sandy Duncan. Opening July 7th is the beloved musical Annie, by Thomas Meehan (book), Charles Strouse (music) and Martin Charnin (lyrics), and the new musical Vices: A Love Story, (story by Michael Heitzman & Ilene Reid, and music and lyrics by Susan Draus, Everett Bradley, Michael Heitzman and Ilene Reid). Vices closes out the season with a final performance on August 20th. Check out photos of the productions below!

The Pennington Players are excited to bring '13, The Musical,' to the Kelsey Theatre stage. '13,' a grown-up story about growing up, featured the only all-teenage cast ever to hit Broadway! Tony Award winner Jason Robert Brown (Parade, 13, The Last Five Years, Songs for a New World) and Tony Award-winning stage and screen star Anika Noni Rose (Dreamgirls) and The Caucasian Rhythm Kings begin a special three-night concert engagement tonight at the Henry Street Settlement - Abrons Arts Center (466 Grand at Pitt). The concerts will also be filmed for future broadcast on PBS.

According to StageWhispers.com, Broadway composer Jason Robert Brown is set to tour Australia in February/March 2011. Performances will take place in Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide, Brisbane and Perth. Australian star Rachael Beck will join Brown throughout the length of the tour.

According to the Chicago Tribune, Jason Roobert Brown's newest musical THE CONNECTOR is heading to the Chicago stage at Northlight Theatre. The production is aiming for a run in the 2011-12 season.
