Dan has made notable appearances in the movies Old School (singing 'Total Eclipse of the Heart' and 'Lady'), The Terminal, Starsky & Hutch, where he performed Roberta Flack's 'Feel Like Makin' Love' at a Bat Mitzvah, and most recently The Hangover (performing 'Candy Shop' and 'Fame') in a wedding scene reminiscent of his appearance in Old School.

PETA, which normally waits for spokespeople to turn 18 before asking them to star in a 'provocative' campaign, has enlisted 16-year old Samia Najimy Finnerty for its new 'Vegans Go All the Way' ad. Samia, PETA's youngest pinup, is the singing-songwriting daughter of actor Kathy Najimy and singer Dan Finnerty of The Dan Band. The playful posters aimed at teens will debut in conjunction with the performer's show tonight, July 9 at Joe's Pub, at 6pm. Check out what Samia had to say about the cause below!

Comedic star Alonzo Bodden has entertained crowds worldwide with his hilarious stand-up routine. This February, Bodden will take his international touring act to the Comix stage for four shows starting Thursday, Feb. 7 at 8 p.m., with additional performances Friday, Feb. 8 at 8 p.m. and Saturday, Feb. 9 at 8 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. Tickets are $20 for advance general admission ($30 day of show) and $40 for advance VIP admission ($50 day of show). Michael Martinez and Fred Coscia have announced a special appearance by vocalist Briana Davis (Smokey Joes Cafe, The World Goes Round) at An Evening of Music and Comedy at Don't Tell Mama on August, 3, 2012. This showcase and variety show will also feature singers Tara Bruno, Michelle Guadalupe, Leandra Ramm and Joanna Schubert.
