Dan Aykroyd and the Belushi Estate hand-picked this Jake and Elwood for The Official Blues Brothers Revue, bursting onto the Van Wezel stage Wed. Feb. 8 @ 8 PM for a one-of-a-kind stage show that faithfully recreates the magic of the Blues Brothers including the music, comic antics and affectionate character quirks that made blues fans out of millions of rockers in the 1970s and ‘80s.
The multiple Emmy winner, who was honored with a lifetime achievement award by the Writers Guild, East in 2010, talks about having friends like Billy Crystal, Larry David or Gilda Radner and in the same breath, can listen patiently as a wannabe writer runs a really bad idea by him for a TV sitcom. The blend of genius and kindness is a rare combination in this industry.

The Maxwell C. King Center for the Performing Arts opened its doors in 1988. Since that time, it has had a profound impact on the cultural and artistic landscape of Brevard County and Central Florida. The need for a performing arts center in Brevard County had been apparent for many years. Periodically, task forces were formed to try to garner the necessary funds, but each time the costs were deemed prohibitive and the idea was abandoned.
