The Old Globe presents the West Coast Premiere of Bekah Brunstetter's quirky and tender comedy Be a Good Little Widow. Directed by Hal Brooks, Be a Good Little Widow will run tonight, May 11 - June 9, 2013 in the Sheryl and Harvey White Theatre, part of the Globe's Conrad PrebysTheatre Center. Partly Cloudy People has announced its production of Kim Rosenstock's Tigers Be Still, directed by Pirronne Yousefzadeh. Tigers Be Still will play a three-week limited engagement at the DRILLING COMPANY THEATER (236 West 78 Street, Floor 3). Performances begin tonight, May 9 and continue through Saturday, May 25. Opening night is tonight, May 9 (8 pm).

Long Wharf Theatre concludes its 2012-13 season with Tony and Pulitzer Prize-winning play Clybourne Park, by Bruce Norris, and directed by Associate Artistic Director Eric Ting. The play will take place on The Claire Tow Stage in the C. Newton Schenck III Mainstage from tonight, May 8, 2013 through June 2, 2013.

The Off-Broadway League today gave out awards in 14 categories and two additional special awards for the 2013 Lucille Lortel Awards for Outstanding Achievement Off-Broadway. The Lortel Awards were handed out on Sunday, May 5, 2013 at NYU Skirball Center, hosted by acclaimed stage and screen actors Aasif Mandvi and Maura Tierney. This year's event once again benefited The Actors Fund.

Dallas Theater Center announced today that Michael Holloman has been named the 2012-2013 Project Discovery Distinguished Educator of the Year. Hollomon is the Director of Theater for R.L. Turner High School and, in his five-year involvement with Project Discovery, has brought 1,100 students to 29 productions at Dallas Theater Center. He is the ninth educator to receive this award.

As previously announced, John O'Hurley will star as King Arthur. Also starring will be Michelle Ragusa as The Lady of the Lake, Kevin Cahoon as Historian, John Scherer as Sir Robin, David Hibbard as Patsy, Chris Hoch as Sir Lancelot, Ben Davis as Sir Dennis Galahad, and Tally Sessions as Dennis' Mother/Sir Bedevere. Joining them will be broadcast legend Bob Costas as The Voice of God.

Tonight, April 29th, at New York City's Pierre Hotel, the National Corporate Theatre Fund (NCTF) will honor Vanessa Williams, American Express and five resident theatres celebrating their 50th anniversary - Actors Theatre of Louisville, Guthrie Theater, Hartford Stage, Seattle Repertory Theatre and Trinity Repertory Company - at NCTF's annual Chairman's Awards Gala. Actor George Takei, star of the Broadway-bound musical Allegiance, emcees the event.

Lynne Meadow (Artistic Director), Barry Grove (Executive Producer), and Mandy Greenfield (Artistic Producer) have announced full casting for the world premiere of THE EXPLORERS CLUB, the new play by Tony Award nominee Nell Benjamin, directed by Marc Bruni.

Dallas Theater Center hosts the fourth annual Skokos Learning Lab Showcase, the culmination of the Ted and Shannon Skokos Learning Lab collaboration between DTC and Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing and Visual Arts (BTW), on Saturday, April 27 in the Studio Theatre at the Dee and Charles Wyly Theatre. The performance is free and open to the general public. No tickets are required.

Naked Angels, the eclectic downtown theater company that recently partnered with the New School for Drama under the leadership of Naked Angels founding company member Pippin Parker, is pleased to announce that New School alumna Liz Carlson will assume the role of Artistic Director of Naked Angels beginning May 1, 2013, further enhancing the relationship between the two companies. Current Artistic Director Andy Donald, who succeeded Geoffrey Nauffts in July 2011 after two years as Associate Artistic Director, departs the company for a new position as a creative producer at the New Jersey Performing Arts Center.

Artistic Director Hal Brooks has announced the 2013 season for Cape Cod Theatre Project, featuring staged readings of new work by Sharr White, Heidi Schreck, Rinne Groff and JC Lee. They will be joined in Falmouth, Massachusetts by writers-in-residence Jackie Sibblies Drury, Andrew Dolan, Halley Feiffer and Academy Award nominee Lucy Alibar.

The National Alliance for Musical Theatre (NAMT) announces 11 awards granted from their National Fund for New Musicals, a major funding program to support NAMT member not-for-profit theatres in their collaborations with writers to create, develop and produce new musicals. Now in its fifth year, the Fund will provide grants totaling $37,000 to 11 organizations across the country.
