Broadway In Chicago has announced that single tickets for the pre-Broadway world premiere of KINKY BOOTS, a brand new musical that brings together four-time Tony® Award-winner Harvey Fierstein (Book) and Grammy® and Emmy Award-winner Cyndi Lauper (Music & Lyrics), will go on sale to the public Aug. 3., 2012 at 10 a.m. Directed and choreographed by Tony® Award-winner Jerry Mitchell, KINKY BOOTS will play the Bank of America Theatre (18 West Monroe Street) beginning Oct. 2 through Nov. 4, 2012.

The RRazz Room, San Francisco's premier nightclub, presents Broadway legend and 2011 Kennedy Center Honoree BARBARA COOK from August 21 to 26. Her show "Let's Fall In Love" is comprised of her signature mix of songs, pop standards, jazz classics and Broadway staples.

Michael Riedel reports in today's The New York Post that 'It appears that Jujamcyn's got "Kinky Boots" and will put it in the Al Hirschfeld Theatre next spring following an out-of-town tryout in Chicago in the fall. Jujamcyn's co-producer will be Hal Luftig, who's on a roll with the hit revival of Evita.'

Performances of this staged reading will take place from tonight, July 11th through July 15th (3 performances) at the 45th Street Theatre (354 W. 45th St.). For over twenty-five years, the late Bradshaw Smith (Founder & Executive Producer of "Broadway Beat" and Applause Video) was the theater world's preeminent videographer, capturing over 1,000 performances on Broadway, off-Broadway, in cabaret halls and beyond that now, because of him, live on today. Bradshaw Smith died on January 16, 2012, at age 57, following a sudden and severe stroke. To conclude the intimate memorial, Bradshaw's longtime friend and editor, Jonathan Frank, compiled the best of Bradshaw's work as a video artist. Broadway In Chicago's Concert moves to Millennium Park this summer. The FREE BROADWAY IN CHICAGO CONCERT will take place on Monday, August 6, 2012 at 6:15 p.m. at the Pritzker Pavilion at Millennium Park. Hosted by ABC-7's Janet Davies, star of 190 NORTH, the concert will feature performances by the iconic rock legend CYNDI LAUPER with members of the cast from the pre-Broadway world premiere of her new musical KINKY BOOTS, Joey from WAR HORSE and Cathy Rigby as PETER PAN.
