The World Premiere of Kinky Boots, the new musical brings together four-time Tony® Award-winner Harvey Fierstein (Book) and Grammy® Award-winning rock icon Cyndi Lauper (Music & Lyrics). Directed and choreographed by Tony® Award-winner Jerry Mitchell, Kinky Boots plays the Bank of America Theatre (18 West Monroe Street, Chicago, IL) beginning October 2 through November 4, 2012, in advance of a Broadway opening. On Thursday, Gray Line New York, New York City's premier sightseeing and tourism company, inducted award-winning actress and singer Vanessa Williams into its Ride of Fame™ campaign. Ms. Williams, who was on-site to receive this honor, participated in a ribbon cutting ceremony to unveil the custom decal featuring her likeness on the front of one of Gray Line New York's iconic double-decker buses.

On Saturday, October 13, the iconic duo will be inducted as the latest honoree in Gray Line New York's prestigious Ride of Fame campaign, the premier double-decker bus, motorcoach and entertainment company's new program designed to recognize and honor leading New Yorkers and iconic New York establishments. The company bestows a bus in their fleet to each honoree they identify as an exemplary community figure.

Gray Line New York, New York City's premier double-decker bus, motorcoach and entertainment company, has announced today that multi award-winning actress and singer Vanessa Williams will be the next honoree in its prestigious Ride of Fame™ campaign. A ribbon-cutting ceremony, where a custom decal displaying Ms. Williams' likeness on the front of the vehicle will be unveiled, will take place on Thursday, September 27th at Pier 78 (455 12th Avenue at 38th Street) at 12 pm EST. The ceremony will coincide with Ms. Williams' debut in the pilot episode of ABC's newest drama "666 Park Avenue," premiering on Sunday, September 30th at 10 pm EST.

Theater Resources Unlimited (TRU) will celebrate its 21st year as a not-for-profit service organization with their annual TRU Love Benefit, Making the Impossible Possible! honoring producer Van Dean of the Broadway Consortium; director-choreographer Jerry Mitchell and Broadway Bares; and legendary downtown entrepreneur Edith O'Hara and the 13th Street Repertory.

Tonight, September 20th at 8 pm, Ballets with a Twist will dance at XL Cabaret to benefit the True Colors Fund, an organization co-founded by music, style and cultural icon Cyndi Lauper in support of equality for all and to bring an end to gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender youth homelessness. The nightclub has donated its cabaret space for the event, and Lauper will be on hand for an intimate performance of "True Colors."
