The Obie Award-winning New Paradise Laboratories and The Riot Group present the New York Premiere of Freedom Club, written by Adriano Shaplin and directed by Whit MacLaughlin. Freedom Club runs from January 6 - 15, 2011, as part of the APAP Conference 2011, at the Connelly Theater, located at 220 East 4th Street between Avenues A and B in NYC.

Ensemble Studio Theatre Presents UNFILTERED 2011 1/13-2/05

Vineyard Theatre Extends MIDDLETOWN Thru 12/5

Having opened to a host of positive reviews and strong ticket sales, Vineyard Theatre's world-premiere production of Will Eno's play MIDDLETOWN will extend its run an additional two weeks - through December 5 - it has been announced by Douglas Aibel, artistic director of The Vineyard (108 E. 15 St.).

For three seasons, the Kansas City Electronic Music and Arts Alliance (KcEMA) has been introducing audiences to the cutting edge of electronic music and video being created in the Kansas City area. For Current Trends, KcEMA is looking further, bringing examples of the most innovative work composed across the U.S. and internationally to Urban Culture Project's La Esquina for an exciting evening of sound and image on December's First Friday December 3.

The Huntington Theatre Company continues its 29th season with Ruined by Lynn Nottage (Intimate Apparel, Crumbs from the Table of Joy), directed by South Africa native Liesl Tommy. The ensemble cast features Tonye Patano (Showtime's "Weeds") as Mama Nadi.

Richard Dreyfuss Leads Culture Project's IMAGINING HESCHEL, Closes 11/28

Culture Project (Allan Buchman, Artistic Director) will present the world premiere of Imagining Heschel, a new play by Colin Greer, directed by Larry Moss, who was last represented Off-Broadway by his acclaimed production of Syringa Tree. The two-character play will feature actors Richard Dreyfuss and Rinde Eckert. Performances begin at the Cherry Lane Theatre (38 Commerce Street, NYC) on Thursday, November 4th, 2010, and continue through Sunday, November 28th, 2010, for 20 performances only. An official opening night is set for Monday, November 8, 2010.

New Missouri Bank Presents ARTBORDS this December

The Missouri Bank Crossroads Branch, 125 Southwest Boulevard, will debut four new large-scale commissioned images, by Lawrence, Kansas-based artist Jerry Kunkel and Kansas City-based artist Adolfo Martinez on its 'Artboards' in time for First Friday December, 2010. An Art through Architecture 'Art Achievement' project, the Missouri Bank 'Artboards' launched fall 2008, when the building's existing double-sided billboards were renovated and converted into a highly visible site for work by area artists as part of the bank's purchase and renovation of the building to house its Crossroads Branch, completed by Helix Architecture + Design.
