In conjunction with Vassar's 150th anniversary sesquicentennial celebration this year, the Experimental Theater at Vassar College will present three performances of Playground: The Hallie Flanagan Project, an original play by Mattie Brickman, directed by Vassar alumna Jen Wineman '00.

Playwrights Horizons (Tim Sanford, Artistic Director; Leslie Marcus, Managing Director) has announced complete casting for the World Premiere of GO BACK TO WHERE YOU ARE, a new play by five-time Obie Award winner David Greenspan (author/performer of She Stoops to Comedy, performer in The Wax and director of Kate's Diary, all at PH; Coraline; Some Men; The Argument; The Myopia; The Boys in the Band).

This March, Berkeley Repertory Theatre proudly presents Ruined, winner of the Pulitzer Prize for Drama. A powerful new play about the harrowing lives of women in Africa, Ruined is written by Lynn Nottage and directed by Liesl Tommy.

Angels & Demons at Play at la Esquina, February 25-27, is an original multi-media and interdisciplinary performance event that explores the interplay of positive and negative energetic forces using the vehicle of traditional Balinese Dance Drama, Masked Dance and Shadow Puppet Theater as points of departure.

Isaac* (Miss Electricity at La Jolla Playhouse; Balm In Gilead at Steppenwolf), Talynm Jinn Kim (LABrynth member, Developing Artists Theater Co.), Yanghee Lee, Julian Charles Leong (NY debut), Bert Matias (Snow Falling On Cedars), Amy Kim Waschke* (Somebody/Nobody at Arizona Theatre Company), and Virginia Wing* (Chu Chem). The creative team will include Costume Design by Carla Bellisio (Ghost Light; Southern Promises dir. Jose Zayas), Lighting Design by Jake DeGroot (Call Me Anne with Blue Coyote), Set Design by Adam Koch (Rooms: A Rock Romance; Title of Show), Sound Design by David Margolin Lawson (Kenneth Brannagh's Mary Shelley's Frankenstein; The Man Who Fell to Earth), and Choreography by Elisabetta Spuria (Tess: A New Rock Opera; The Who's Tommy).

After it's highly successful staging in NYC in June 2010, Allan Buchman has announced the West Coast debut of Twin Spirits on Tuesday, February 15th at the Mark Taper Forum at the Music Center of Los Angeles County. Presented by Culture Project, Sting and Trudie Styler will reprise their roles as classical composer Robert and his wife, pianist Clara Schumann; reading the couple's poignant letters with accompaniment from a six-member ensemble of classical musicians. A portion of the evening's proceeds will be used to support the ongoing work of Culture Project, the Royal Opera House and Mustardseed Arts Trust.

Underground Railway Theater and Playwrights' Theatre at Boston University celebrate the 30th Anniversary of Derek Walcott's founding of Boston Playwrights' Theatre and commemorate the devastating 2010 earthquake in Haiti with a co-production of Walcott's powerful folk parable, TI-JEAN AND HIS BROTHERS.
