In this newly created role, Shapiro will work on the company-wide strategic development of digital opportunities to reach emerging audiences, including alternative platforms and direct to consumer distribution models. Shapiro will be based in New York and report to NBCUniversal Executive Vice President Cesar Conde. His appointment begins on December 8.
