Photo Flash: First Look at Burning Coal's MAN OF LA MANCHA

Burning Coal Theatre Company continues its 15th season with Man of La Mancha by Darion, Leigh and Wasserman. The production will run February 2 - 19, 2012 at the Murphey School, 224 Polk Street, Raleigh, NC. Performances are Thursdays through Saturdays at 7:30 pm (February 2 - 4, 9 - 11, 16 - 18, 2012) and Sundays at 2 pm (February 5, 12, 19, 2012). Sunday, February 5 at 2 pm is our 'Pay What You Can' Day.

Page 73 Begins Accepting Applications For 2013 P73 Development Programs

Off-Broadway's Page 73 Productions - a company dedicated to producing and developing works by early-career playwrights - will be accepting applications for its 2013 Development Programs, which include the P73 Playwriting Fellowship, it has been announced by the company's Executive Directors Liz Jones and Asher Richelli.

James Earl Jones, Roger Robinson and Robert Joy will all perform in the Ensemble Studio Theatre and the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation's First Light 2011 series of new plays about science and technology now through April 23 at the Ensemble Studio Theatre, 549 West 52nd Street.

Bill Cain Wins Steinberg/ATCA New Play Award for NINE CIRCLES

The American Theatre Critics Association (ATCA) has named Bill Cain's 'Nine Circles,' a harrowing play about war and redemption, the winner of the $25,000 Harold and Mimi Steinberg/ATCA New Play Award for 2011. The award recognizes playwrights for the best scripts that premiere professionally outside New York City during the previous calendar year.

Cori Thomas Wins M. Elizabeth Osborn New Play Award for WHEN JANUARY FEELS LIKE SUMMER

Cori Thomas has won ATCA's 2011 M. Elizabeth Osborn New Play Award for an emerging playwright. The award recognizes Thomas' When January Feels Like Summer, which premiered in March 2010 at City Theatre in Pittsburgh. The Osborn Award is designed to recognize the work of an author who has not yet achieved national stature - e.g., has not had a significant New York production or been staged widely in regional theaters. Last year's award went to Jason Wells for Perfect Mendacity; previous winners included Rebecca Gilman and Keith Glover. The 2011 award will be presented April 2 at the Humana Festival at Actors Theatre of Louisville.
