International film star Orlando Bloom will make his Broadway debut alongside Tony Award nominee Condola Rashad, as Shakespeare's star-crossed lovers in a new Broadway production of the timeless love story ROMEO AND JULIET, directed by five-time Tony Award nominee David Leveaux. The show will open on Broadway on Thursday, September 19, 2013 at the Richard Rodgers Theatre, following preview performances from Saturday, August 24, 2013. In Verona, there is a house that claims to have belonged to the Capulet family, boasting the balcony and courtyard made so famous by Shakespeare. Upon entering the house, there is a wall that is now lovingly known as 'Juliet's Wall'. Thousands of people every year write their names and the names of their loved ones on the face of wall, believing it will make their love and relationships eternal and everlasting, like the love of Romeo and Juliet. The Richard Rodgers Theatre will boast its own 'Juliet's Wall', located on the front of the theatre, and Bloom and Rashad were the first to sign it. TV One is taking viewers behind the scenes and on-set of the critically acclaimed Broadway revival of A Trip to Bountiful in an all-new special, TV One Takes the Trip to Bountiful with Cathy Hughes. From the Sondheim Theatre on Broadway, Ms. Hughes, founder and chairperson of Radio One, discusses the emotional and Unforgettable show and interviews the all-star cast that includes Cicely Tyson, Cuba Gooding Jr. and Vanessa Williams. The critically acclaimed revival of Horton Foote's American masterpiece, The Trip to Bountiful celebrated 100 performances last night at the Stephan Sondheim Theatre. The show was recently extended again, adding five weeks to its already extended engagement, and will now play through Wednesday, October 9, giving audiences just a few more chances to see the legendary Cicely Tyson in her Tony Award-winning performance of a lifetime. The Richard Rodgers Theatre Box Office (226 West 46th Street) opens today at 10:00am EST for the new Broadway production of Shakespeare's ROMEO AND JULIET, starring international film star Orlando Bloom and two-time Tony Award nominee Condola Rashad as the titular star-crossed lovers, and directed by five-time Tony Award nominee David Leveaux. The opening of the box office also marks the launch of the production's Student Ticket Program; in order to make this production accessible to all, 100 tickets per performance will be set aside at $20 for students and educators.

ADEPERO ODUYE will assume the role of Thelma in the critically acclaimed revival of Horton Foote's American masterpiece, THE TRIP TO BOUNTIFUL, on Tuesday, July 16th. Oduye is best known for her acclaimed breakout role in Dee Ree's Sundance film, Pariah, and for her performance opposite Queen Latifah, Alfre Woodard and Phylicia Rashad in the Lifetime Television movie, Steel Magnolias. Condola Rashad, who also co-starred with Oduye in Steel Magnolias, played her final performance as Thelma on Sunday, July 14.
