Each week Joe's Pub at The Public presents some of New York City's most eclectic programming ranging from world to classical, pop, singer-songwriter, jazz and more. At the center of Joe's Pub's genre-blind booking is The Public Theater's mission to bring world-class performance to New York City's diverse cultural community.

BEN RIMALOWER: "PATTI ISSUES" has announced a fifth extension. The show will now run through April 24 at The Duplex in the West Village.

The new musical comedy, NERDS, is trying to make its way to Broadway, and it's starting out right here in Raleigh. This is a great opportunity for the Triangle theater community, and the show is absolutely worth a trip downtown.

The Meeting* hosted by Justin Sayre - the acclaimed gay comedy/variety show - will continue its fourth season tonight, December 13, 2012 at The Duplex in New York's West Village. According to Time Out New York, 'The Meeting* has become a cult hit among a young, festive and culturally aware crowd. Sayre is an avatar of modern-retro cultivation.'

December's Sandy fundraisers include Mike Daisey's Where Water Meets With Water, The Broadway Boys, Nuyorican Poets Cafe Benefit, Rachael Sage and Still Here!, a spoken-word event featuring Sarah Kay, Andy Suzuki & The Method, Arthur Lewis and Laura Brown-Lavoie. Lisa Lambert is turning 50 and she's opening her trunk...of songs. Tonight, December 10 at 7pm, Lisa and her guests Jonathan Crombie, David Cromer, Cole Escola, Cady Huffman, Troy Britton Johnson, Beth Leavel, and Greg Morrison visit The Drowsy Chaperone, "Slings & Arrows," "Skippy's Rangers: The Show They Never Gave," and an assortment of her other delightful, sometimes misguided, musical comedy ventures. This concert will be part of the long-running Broadway at Birdland concert series, with all proceeds going to Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS.

Ad Astria Live presents the West Coast premiere of the hit New York solo play, BEN RIMALOWER: PATTI ISSUES, written and performed by Ben Rimalower and directed by Aaron Mark. The play will run one night only TONIGHT, November 25th at 8:00 pm at Rockwell Table & Stage!

Full casting and the creative team have been announced for the limited, pre-Broadway engagement of NERDS, A New Musical Comedy at North Carolina Theatre's AJ Fletcher Theatre the Progress Energy Center for the Performing Arts in Raleigh, NC. The show will run from January 18, 2013 through February 3, 2013.

This December marks the end of OUR HIT PARADE, the "hilarious" (New York Post) live, top-ten countdown at Joe's Pub at The Public that has been the centerpiece of New York's downtown performance art scene for over five years.
