In the 1940's, women managed factories while welding to build warships and also sat in a bomber's cockpit, climbing into the air to aid America's war efforts. Produced by Renaissance Theaterworks (RTW), the World War II story titled Censored on Final Approach and written by a former Marquette University Director of Theater, the late Phylis Ravel, takes flight on stage in the Studio Theater to reveal how these women coped. RTW collaborated with current theater students and technicians to remember these women pilots who sacrificed their lives for the war. To do this, these courageous WASPS (Women Air Force Service Pilots), females ahead of their time, confronted their male competition and tradition to fight for their right to fly and live everything their feminine selves could be.
Is there anything wrong with being a dreamer? Sarantos is mostly a positive person. That does not mean that the normal wear and tear of life's work doesn't have a toll sometimes.
I want to stay in the discovery of the character, not in the attitude of her or her life. I want to be completely subjective about her. I want to speak in her voice genuinely and not pump emotion into a moment or a line. For that to happen I need to just stay on the text.

Artist Rochelle Trevarrow has been producing a series of art pieces that bring memories of "home" to those who have lived in Okinawa, Japan. As former military "brat," Rochelle grew up in foreign countries and a few US States. She calls Okinawa home, since that is where she spent the most time, before moving to the States in late 1999. "My father was stationed on Kadena Air Base and the many years I spent there made a lasting impression on me," says Rochelle, and it seems to have inspired her artwork in a big way. "I actually stumbled upon this series by accident. I had been painting many NFL team fan art canvases, and was feeling burned out. I decided to take a break and paint the pattern of a shirt I was wearing that was designed by a former classmate I grew up with in Okinawa. The pattern was of a traditional Okinawan bingata. It had various flowers and clouds with a yellow background. I then put an outline of the Okinawa Islands in the middle. I loved it and posted a picture of it to my friends on Facebook. Immediately it went viral, and to my surprise my former guidance counselor at Kadena High School bought it. After that I created a few more and more of my former classmates raved about them and I made a few more sales. I currently have several island paintings and a shisa dog set available, with a fine art piece of Shuri Castle in the works."
As the months roll by, Rochelle keeps busy with commissioned artwork for her clients. She is hired to create paintings of many different things, such as business logos, sports teams, abstract concepts and cities. Rochelle says she loves every new opportunity she gets when clients call for artwork. She has several repeat clients and they kept her busy this past holiday season. Rochelle is working on expanding further and offering private lessons as well as painting parties. "I think the popular wine/paint events are great, however people attending are limited to one design. I know there are many people who are looking for that 'real world how-to' teacher to show them how to make their idea into real art, and I want to provide that for them. I want to teach the techniques that no one teaches you in art school."
Rochelle Trevarrow is an artist currently located Nebraska. Her specialties are metal & glass sculpture and acrylic paintings. Her love of art and the creative process blossomed at a young age, and draws inspiration for her works from her childhood overseas before moving to the United States in 1999. It was during her many years living in Okinawa, Japan that she fell in love with Bonsai and Ikebana. Rochelle resides in the Lincoln, Nebraska area with her husband Brian and their son Maximus.
Insult to injury though (and maybe it's just me), but as the lights came up I couldn't help but wonder, are we six weeks away from seeing a better version of this film? I'm more excited than ever to see WONDER WOMAN and CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR, but that's probably not what Snyder and co. want to hear.
As 'Moon Over the Brewery' rises at Possum Hall, the cast prepares to paint a contemporary picture of a family dealing with some everyday issues as well as some of the off-the-wall variety. Some shades of comedy, some clouds of confusion are all part of the big picture as mother and teenage daughter try to define their relationship.
ALL THE WAY opens with blinking blood-red lights, deafening gunshots, vibrant colors in impressionistic soft-focus. Moments later, you can cut the tension with a knife or the crisp, clear black and white projections. From the start, Director Kevin Moriarty establishes that the Dallas Theater Center and Alley Theatre's stunning co-production of Robert Schenkkan's exhilarating political thriller is no documentary or a biopic.
