HEISENBERG to Be Presented at Burning Coal Theatre in December

Burning Coal Theatre Company will present the southeastern premiere of Simon Stephens' Heisenberg, a comedy/drama about two mismatched souls who collide. The play will run January 19 - 21, 26-28 and February 2 - 4, 2017 at 7:30 pm and January 22, 29 and February 5, 2017 at 2 pm at Burning Coal's Murphey School Auditorium, 224 Polk Street, Raleigh, NC 27604. Tickets are $25 regular admission or $20 for seniors (65+) or $15 for students, teachers and active military. Student Rush tickets at curtain time, if available, are $5 apiece. The first Sunday, January 22nd, is Pay What You Can Day and will be Audio described by Arts Access. All Thursday performances are $15. It may be tempting to reduce Keith Maitland's new rotoscoped documentary film TOWER, about the 1966 shooting at the University of Texas, to its device - a curious novelty, a cartoon about a decades-old school shooting - but that would miss the point, and the difficulty, of what Maitland and his team have accomplished through an approach still closely associated with Saturday morning Hanna-Barbera fare.

Case closed! According to Forbes, the jury has reached a verdict in a JERSEY BOYS copyright infringement case. The Nevada federal court ruled that because 'substantial portions' of the unpublished 'Tommy DeVito: Then and Now' were used in the musical's book, 10% is owed to Donna Corbello- the widow of the biography's author.

Joe Sirola, who has been seen or heard in over 10,000 commercials brought his one man show "With A Little Bit Of Luck" to the Metropolitan Room yesterday. The audience didn't need much selling to realize why this fantastic actor has had such a successful career in Film, TV and on the stage. Unlike his commercials which were replayed many times (much to his financial pleasure) it was a one time event at the world famous Cabaret on 22nd street in Manhattan.
