Disney's THE LION KING continues to reign across North America with a sold-out engagement in Des Moines, which concluded on Sunday, May 17 at the Des Moines Civic Center. The triumphant three-week return grossed over $4.1 million at the box office and entertained nearly 60,000 patrons during 24 performances.  

Disney Theatrical Productions and Broadway San Jose, a Nederlander Presentation, announced today that tickets for the long-awaited return engagement of Disney's THE LION KING will go on sale to the public on Sunday, May 31 at 10 a.m. San Jose's most eagerly awaited return will once again leap onto the Center for the Performing Arts stage on Wednesday, September 9 for a limited engagement of four weeks through Sunday, October 4. The opening night is Thursday, September 10 at 7:30 p.m. The show's six-week premiere engagement in 2006 played a sold-out run at the Center for the Performing Arts.

Disney Theatrical Productions in partnership with OCESA celebrate the world premiere of the first Spanish language production of THE LION KING in Mexico at the Telcel Theatre in Mexico City.   

Disney's THE LION KING continues to reign across North America with a sold-out engagement in Cincinnati, which concluded on Sunday, April 26 at The Aronoff Center. The triumphant four-week return grossed over $6.1 million at the box office and entertained more than 82,000 patrons during 32 performances.

Following the success of dedicated Autism-Friendly Performances in 2013 and 2014, a third dedicated performance of Disney's THE LION KING has been announced for Sunday 30 August 2015 at 1:30pm. Tickets are now on sale.

By popular demand, Disney's THE LION KING will return to Vancouver for the first time since its triumphant premiere engagement in July 2010, where the production played a sold-out run at the Queen Elizabeth Theatre. This exclusive 4 -week return engagement at Queen Elizabeth Theatre begins Thursday, June 18, 2015 and plays through Sunday, July 12, 2015. Opening night is set for Friday, June 19, 2015 at 7:30pm. Individual tickets for THE LION KING will go on sale to the general public on Monday, February 23 at 10am.

Broadway In Chicago has announced that Disney's THE LION KING will return to Chicago by popular demand. This exclusive seven-week return engagement at the Cadillac Palace Theatre (151 W Randolph) begins December 2, 2015 and plays through January 17, 2016.

The Memphis return of Disney's THE LION KING opens tonight, Thursday, February 5th at 7:30 PM at the Orpheum Theatre for a limited engagement of 4 weeks through Sunday, March 1st.

Disney's THE LION KING set a record for the highest-grossing week in Milwaukee theatrical history with a gross of $1,687,572.60 at The Milwaukee Theatre for the week ending November 30, 2014. This breaks the previous record of $1.6 million set by THE LION KING during its premiere engagement for the week ending March 2, 2008. This four-week return, which concluded on Sunday, December 7, entertained more than 94,000 patrons during 32 performances and generated over $6 million at the box office during the entire run. Group Sales contributed $1,288,500 of the $6 million generated and surpassed the amount generated by groups during the last engagement of THE LION KING.

The Milwaukee return of Disney's THE LION KING opens tonight, Thursday, November 13 at 7:30 pm at the Milwaukee Theatre for a limited engagement of four weeks through Sunday, December 7. In Milwaukee, THE LION KING plays Tuesday through Thursday evenings at 7:30 pm, Fridays at 8:00 pm, Saturdays at 2:00 pm and 8:00 pm and Sundays at 1:00 pm and 6:30 pm. There will be special weekday matinee performances on Friday, November 28 at 2:00 pm and Thursday, December 4 at 2:00 pm. There will not be a performance on Thursday, November 27 (Thanksgiving). The show's five-week premiere engagement in 2008 played a sold-out run at the Milwaukee Theatre. 'Thus far sales have exceeded our expectations for the return of Lion King in Milwaukee, but there are still great seats available,' said Paul Mathews, President and CEO of the Marcus Center.

Disney's THE LION KING celebrates two anniversaries among its 10 productions worldwide. The London production marks its 15th anniversary on Sunday, October 19th at The Lyceum Theatre. The award-winning musical has entertained over 12 million theatregoers and remains the West End's best-selling stage production. It also recently became the sixth longest-running West End musical of all time. The critically-acclaimed production remains the West End's most popular musical with over 810,000 guests per year.
