The workshop will culminate in an invitation only presentation.

Retro Productions is celebrating their 10th anniversary with, The Butter and Egg Man by George S. Kaufman. Perhaps one of Kaufman's lesser known works, The Butter and Egg Man is a wonderful comedy about producing theater and was one of Kaufman's biggest Broadway successes when it opened at the Longacre Theatre in 1925. The production is directed by Ricardo Rust, who co-produced Retro Productions, An Appeal to the Woman of the House which was nominated for 3 New York Innovative Theater Awards and won an award for Heather E. After sixteen years as a for-profit producing organization Horse Trade Theater Group will merge into FRIGID New York. Horse Trade will still operate as a venue manager for The Kraine Theater at 85 East 4th Street and UNDER St. Marks at 94 St. Marks Place, but all in-house productions, festivals, and the Resident Artist Program will now be presented by the nonprofit organization FRIGID New York, producers of the annual FRIGID Festival.

On Friday, July 11 at 9pm, Chiller presents the next installment in its Chilling Visions anthology film series, Chilling Visions: 5 States of Fear. The film comprises five shorts inspired by five basic human fears, with each short set in a specific location across five different U.S. states. 5 States follows 2013's inaugural installment, Chilling Visions: 5 Senses of Fear, which included a film by critically-acclaimed young director Emily Hagins.
